Official Vox DSL feedback thread

There it goes again.

Ping doubled and international slow.
Like a switch. Been fine all day and now all of a sudden there are issues.

10 mbps ADSL, Gauteng

Vox Fatpipe, CPT.
This explains why my Overwatch download is going at 100KB/s...
And why my BF5 local ping last night was going nuts.

I switched to webafrica tonight and much more stable download
On vox on a 40 mb line download went from 500 kB/s 2.8 mb/s
On webafrica 2.5 to 2.8 mb/s stable not full line speed but I have to download 64 gigs it make a different

I am struggling badly tonight. Can't even get 1MB/s DL on my 10MB/s ADSL line. Totally unable to play online games. FFS VOX, I thought you guys were one of the better ones. Maybe I must go with someone else when Fibre is rolled out here next month.

BTW I am in Strand/Somerset West area.

Back again even worse. Honestly vox is a piece of **** provider.

I'm on WA fibre (also uses IS backbone) and having same issues on Openserve (1mb speeds on 200mb line)

Cape Town Southern Suburbs

Still perfect for me in Centurion, PTA. Openserve 200Mbps + Vox fatpipe adsl capped account.

mine is also f'd in CT Southern Suburbs

Edit: Had a chat with Vox support now. Guy said there are issues with Openserve and that they (Openserve) have a technician working on it, but that there isn't any ETA on when it will be fixed.

This is crystal web v2 in the making. They cannot run a consistent service in western cape...

It's not Vox though, it's Openserve...
and i pay to who? What difference it makes for my internet? should i feel better that it is not Vox? vox has SLA wiith openserver and it is between them to manage as they get paid to provide good service and not this thit clown fiesta

Any ISP who has to use Openserve infrastructure will be victim to the same issues. What do you want Vox to do? To send technicians out to repair NOT their hardware? And then get sued for some kind of damages by Openserve when they see someone's messed with something on their hardware. I'm sure their SLA makes space for downtime such as this. Only way this kind of thing improves if people have options in terms of competition. But hardly anyone seems willing to interconnect with other providers' networks, so we just have lots of little Openserves everywhere.

Looks like it might be a fibre break on Openserve side?

They didn't mention what it was, but did say that it was affecting some clients in JHB as well. High latency on the line. My upload speed was previously not as badly affected, but seems a bit worse now.

dude stop whiteknightng. Who cares ? you feel bad for a company but customers suffering every month because their **** break on exchange is fine? delusion man. go post 5 star rating.

Just to edit amount of effort i have to go through to prove their tech support that there is issue outisde of my router? i had 5 days ticket open so that their tech call me and tell me to plug mu lan cable into PC to see if it is not the router when they had all trace logs needed. yes **** vox and openserve equally.
