Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Bolt-on usage not yet updated.

The weekend's Bolt-on usage hasn't yet been updated under Daily Usage.

If anyone at Vox turned up for work today, and is reading this, can you have usage for the 1st, 2nd & into the 3rd October updated :o

Wow!

I thought you - @Voxy - had been retired from the forum.
Does this mean we can post any issues & expect feedback from now on / once again ?

I was just informed a few minutes ago while on the phone with a Techie from VOX that the international issue is in fact not resolved.

Whatsapp media not downloading or sending.
Steaming is a no no
Connecting to Battle.net games is impossible
Youtube takes forever to just start a video

Tracert looks fine to servers but i suspect VOX has IMCP traffic on the highest priority and other protocols needed for the above are either blocked or have extremely low priority.

I was told it was all due to the International issue and will receive feedback once that is actually fixed.
I would gamble that that above won't be fixed tho :/

I had no issues at all. My AH trial account conked out around 5pm with no data being sent/received and very awkward IP's being handed out, no dns queries being resolved. Switched back to vox and it was flying. AH was pulling around 9.5-9.9mb/s, got solid 11.5mb/s on vox.

This is on vox capped fatpipe on openserve fibre.

Someone is lucky to have fibre! :P

Fibre will come just like DSL did, in phases. I would have been happy with VDSL, but our area did not get upgraded due to fibre rollout to a school nearby. There are a lot of complexes around, which helped. It is pretty awesome :D

So VOX got back to me this morning and told me that all was fixed...
Plot twist, upon testing everything was still EXACTLY the same....

Sigh... These guys don't even understand that a tracert showing that i can interact with a server but can't use the server as intended is a frikken protocol issue on their end... IMCP traffic naturally will work so "There is no problem"

Getting really frustrated at the lack of technical ability from VOX...

Any thoughts on the Zyxel VMG 1312 B series that Vox recommends for VDSL2 ?? Anything else that I should look at, although this router is pretty affordable.

Been using a Telkom Pace 921 for years, last night I ordered a D-Link DSL-224 which I will be trying out shortly. Not sure about Zyxel, they should good.
