Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Nope. December 1st , I had :

Data Available 1050.00 GB
Data Allocated 1050.00 GB

Now I have 1200GB.

I know this because I sent a skype message to my sister, unfortunately don't have screenshot of actual usage.
So my account was only upgraded in the last day or so.
They didn't even announce anything like they usually do, either way us Vox users are living the life right now.

Yup.... And I don't know how to use all the data Happy with the network too.
Same, very happy with everything, I have more data available than HDD space across three PC's.

I don't remember contacting their support once this entire year.

Anyone care to explain how to move my dsl line away from an isp? Don't want it managed by any particular isp.

I don't understand what you mean, someone has to manage the line?
See why I am asking.... lol. Have no clue about this. Don't want AH or vox or anyone managing my line. Can it just be moved to Telkom? Don't really consider them an isp. ;)

Telkom is now a ISP just like Vox or AH, they all now lease the lines through Openserve.

All ISP's including Telkom have the exact same "power" over your line.

So just keep your line at someone with good pricing and good support.

I would like to move to vox as my isp. My current isp and line is managed by the red team. Do you recommend moving my line to Telkom, stay with the red team or move it to vox (if they even allow that....)? Sorry - I am a noob with this stuff.

Afrihost historically have great support if I'm not mistaken so why not just keep it with them.

Like I said none of the ISP's will be able to fix your line better or faster than any other.

They all have to call Openserve to fix something aside from the basic stuff.

Ok cool. Thanks. So i don't need an active data account with AH for them to continue to manage my line?

Nope, if you like Afrihost you go right ahead and keep your line with them.
Must be honest - their support on this forum is awesome. But their new packages (shaped/unshaped capped accounts) and pricing have left a sour taste.

So how do I go about upgrading my 200gb fatpipe to 400gb? And will it cost R399 as it says on the website?

Question... You want 400 gigs at R399. With Afrihost and AfriPlus, i am doing the unshaped 150 + 150GB package for R299 plus 18 hours freetime.

I am never going to probably use the 300 gigs in the month due to free time. .

Im still surprised that you wont consider that as a good deal.

But i also have to say, those on Vox with the 400 gigs at R164 deal, that is a bloody awesom deal as well.

I don't agree with AH new accounts they changed to :/

Yeah scored big with the Vox accounts.i don't use more that 250gb so rollover is quite lekker
