Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Before I drop R100 to test Vox, how is the http downloads during the day and Twitch streaming in the evenings?
 
Facebook videos are still very slow to load and buffers the whole time. This has been going on for more than a week now.

Also generally I've found that the network performance in Cape Town has been very inconsistent of late. Hope this scheduled maintenance fixes these issues otherwise I'm out.

Any vox reps on here that can give us some insight to what is happening?

I am also seeing a degraded performance here in the Southern Cape... Especially streaming services. Switched to my Telkom account and everything runs 100%.

Any feedback on this Vox team?

they strangling social media. especially videos. pain in the ass. no communication as to why. as usual.

I have had speed issues with Vox since I started with them more than a year ago. They do not care if you complain. I have just performed a speed test (MyBB) and am running at 0.79 MBps download. I am just too busy to switch. (But then again all the SPs have got issues. Who do you go to?)

Been having streaming issues for at least the last two weeks. Kodi/Youtube/Facebook. On off, especially in the evenings. When I switch to another ISP everything works again. Other protocols work fine, just streaming is the issue. Live in Durbanville, Cape Town.
 
International speeds to EU seem to be limited to 4MB... also having trouble connecting to my VPS in the US - max. speed via SFTP is 20KB/s per link. My other server in Canada runs at full speed. When I switch to an AH/WA/MWEB/TELKOM account, all run at full speed, no matter where the server/website/download location is.

I have tried to reset the port via VOX portal, but nothing happens... and the speedtest through that same panel says I am on 10Mb, when the line is 20Mb. The router is synced correctly at 20Mb, and there are no issues on ANY other ISP accounts, so it's NOT the ADSL line. I have reboot the router regularly to get any sort of performance. When the line is idle for about an hour, speeds tank, and the router needs rebooting again.

WTF is going on in Cape Town AGAIN????
