Official Vox DSL feedback thread

We had an issue with CPT IPC, not JHB ... What's your ticket number, I'd like to have a look at this.

Let me refer back to when I logged the call:

"Subsequent to the JHB IPC losing connectivity (Wednesday 11 November 2015) and routing via redundant IPC services, Telkom managed to resolve the problem on their network (Thursday 12 November 2015).

Traffic that was routed via the redundant medium now traverse the restored IPC.

After monitoring, we can confirm that the fault has been resolved.

So all sorted now, I just fear the guys are wasting time looking into this when it is no longer an issue. Keep getting updates that they are still investigating.

There's nothing to investigate, there was a fire that burned Telkom's fibre and was repaired by them several hours later.

Seems Fibre also can't take the African Heat :p If the cables aren't stolen they get burned..

This is just crazy on the 3rd hop. Are you sure this IPC thing was resolved??
 
I got bad results on Vox today actually the entire week, switched to TI and all is good. I saw my line was off this morning when i woke up. not sure what happened.

here is the comparison. call is logged to vox.

I'm not aware for any issues but I'm going to have a look.
Ill get back to you with some answers should there be an issue on our side.
 
Voxy - If I move my ADSL line over to VOX, is there some form of wait period or downtime of any kind?

This is not an issue that we have caused. uTorrent refused to engage and work with us to resolve the issue.

The work around is to use remote.bittorrent.com

Can confirm that this works 100%.

Apart from the UI colours being different (don't know why) it operates perfectly.
 
I'm not Voxy ... I don't know the time lines that you're requesting, sorry.

Sorry, I just thought you'd know seeing as Voxy doesn't respond any where near to as much as you do.
I just want to know if I'll have some for of downtime when transferring my line to VOX.
 
How odd! Twitter.com is now completely blank. Traces are normal(ish) and happens on two browsers.
