Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Because they admitted it, and said extra IPC capacity was ordered and implemented, but I don't think it is active yet because no ISP has ever been able to upgrade that fast, it usually takes a couple of weeks, and Vox magically did it in couple of days.

Evening Soul assassin

I can assure you that the upgrade was completed as I communicated.

performance in Gardens, Cape Town has been pretty ****e over last few days - using Telkom account at the mo

My vox account is mostly useless.
Youtube is a joke and now I cant load international sites. Local is still working fine though.

Anyone else notice that the portal is broken?

Neither the iPhone App or the web based portals can give an accurate reading on data used. As a capped user this is some critical information.

Good morning

Which portal is this? The Vox mobile app?

Regards

the iPhone app has has been broken forever. It just seems to be one of those things they don't know how to fix, or whatever company they outsourced the app to doesn't want to fix.

are you pitching for the work?

This morning international sites still failing to open most of the time, local is slow too.
Switching IPS's sorts out the issue instantly so its not a line issue. If there is nothing being done and the attitude is that "upgrade done, all should be fine" then I dont see it getting sorted out anytime soon.

Seriously though, why cant any ISP in SA actually get it right??? they all start out well and people are happy, then they get oversubscribed and things go to the dogs which means everyone ditches them and goes somewhere else.

Is this normal for a 4meg line?

Ok. Let me run and hide in my hole. I thought I am being screwed.

Geez what is going on....

Yar, would be nice to know.

The speed isn't even consistent, when downloading it varies from 300kb/s - 1.1mb/s the whole time, sometimes it just stops for a minute and the reconnects and continues on its sloped path.

It would probably be to much to ask for an ETA for repairs?

At this stage it looks like it is too much to ask for repairs let alone an ETA.
