Official Vox DSL feedback thread

I am in desperate need of a piece of wood from the Titanic. I need to touch it so badly as my vox connection is flying and haven't had any issues.

Also in cape town region. Please let me know if you find the wood from Titanic.

Moved away to? And also do they support the other services? I use netflix / hulu / bbc/ itv/ cbs/ showtime/ discovery/ amazon/ pandora/ deezer

For now they support all US based services. Playmo.tv. Havent had to do IP update for a week now.
 
Anybody with Netflix and either a iOS device or Samsung Smart TV that can please test and see the quality you get?
 
At first I thought it was my DNS that was slow and realised it's Vox and specifically on iOS and my TV, on Windows it goes line speed, on iOS around 700KB/s and the TV around 350KB/s on a 20Mbps line. Tested my internet and network speed on both with no issues.

Switch ISPs and magically the speed goes way up.

I'm having the exact same issue , speed test on the tv shows 0.95 mb/s on a 40mb line. This is non local though, Netflix runs fine ,Hulu is completely unusable. This usually happens every evening after 8. Switch to afrihost and everything is fine , speed test shows 39mb/s on the tv

also using Playmo and it works great. Ive not touched my router, only change the DNS on my Android box to a static DNS using their regions, and im all good. Pity though, as many more people will probably just jump from Uno to Playmo, and things will go belly up lol
 
My line is dead right now. Using Afrihost test account to post this. Maybe it is time to make the move again. Had enough of VOX and their issues.

My connection has been either dead, or completely slow the whole evening. Is there any specific issue at vox?
 
Somebody's going to get upset for Vox making like a yo-yo .... up,down,up,down ... there's a patent on that!

Works for a few minutes, then down again.


Phoned in to support. Issues are being experienced in JHB and other areas.
 
This morning my Vox account is still completely dead :( Been waiting for support to call back from 5pm yesterday.

My VOX account is still also dead. Had enough, moving to AH. Cheers guys, was nice but your support is up to ****!

I have to say... Been with Vox for 4 months on my 10Mb line... Thurs evening was the first time i had problems up till the point where i cudnt do anything i normally do. Skype was still fine, but video buffering and/or international was chaos. In that sense i cant really complain that them, as an ISP, is bad - but the lack of communication regarding an area wide outage was lacking to say the least.
