Official Vox DSL feedback thread

I'm glad you're enjoying it, I really feel like it should be pinned somewhere or added to ISP's knowledgebase.

Absolutely!

I read about it previously before, but since you mentioned it again in the Fibre forum section, I just had to try it for myself and boy, it didn't disappoint :)

I didn't even type that message, I have it saved in a text document and I just paste it whenever I see someone struggle with Twitch.

Anyone else experiencing slow speeds? Getting 2 mbps on my 10 mbps fatpipe.

can someone tell me how long does the fatpipe roll over for? also how many concurrent connections?

considering getting the 100gb one or getting axxess 20gb capped account.

6x 100GB so 600GB and lasts forever until used.

The advantage of the Fat Pipe Data bundles is that all unused data rolls over to the following month indefinitely* up to six times your current monthly cap, and doesn’t expire while you are subscribed to Fat Pipe. *T’s & C’s apply.

Case in point 200GB FP Home

1.2TB roll over.

2 concurrent connection s

6 months. Not sure about concurrent connections.

Edit bigbear is right. Mine is constantly at 2.4 tb every month :)

did you come right? I remember it also took a bit of time to get my confirmation emails.

I see you posted this message about 8 hours ago. should have got it by now. otherwise best to give them a call tomorrow.

No my problem is that it cannot confirm my banking details although I have in contact with FNB so I'm not sure what to do?

Can someone please ping the following results and post the results. The vox tech is getting the same results as me arsenal.com skysports.com capetown.gov.za all give 100% packet loss

The reason you get shown 100% packet loss is that the sites or there hosts do not allow you to ping or trace route them, "security" reasons.
They are all reachable and loading just fine.
The capetown.gov.za site is just very slow.

Looks like Vox is throttling NZB downloads? 100MB fibre, but it doesn't go over 1MB/s even using 2 providers with 15 connections each.

Speedtest gives gives full line speed, as well as HTTP downloads

Mine gives me 2.3MBps on a 20Mbps line.

VOX up to its normal weekend shaping.
I was watching the F1 practice with no problems when suddenly all streams stopped.
Trying to reconnect reported no streams found.
Reboot the Router - No streams found.
Change credentials to Telkom Internet and reboot router.
67 streams found, HQ quality streaming with no buffering.

This happens frequently now.
I complain and they fix it for a week or so then it breaks again.
This is meant to be unshaped but I get the impression that they shape unless you complain.

I am getting to the stage that VOX is no longer worth the problems, I would rather pay Telkom twice as much and have a connection that always works rather than 1TB of rollover data that I can never use because the line is shaped weekend and evening.

Is this a free service I can test on my side?

I was (am) using ACESTREAM, it is free but it requires install of a P2P Client and modified Media Player, so unless you already have ACE installed you may not want to jump through the hoops to test.

Here are the streams in question, however, if you do have ACE installed:
