Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Would be nice to actually get some feedback from Vox as this is clearly an ongoing issue.

I agree, some feedback of some sorts would be nice. Like you know, it's not like we're paying for a service or something like that :P
 
Also had terrible latency for the last few days!

Logged a ticket with Vox, was told that seacom etc. have some intermittent issues which is causing this. Guy recreated the port and it went back to normal.

Noticed it was fine for parts of yesterday but back to 500ms+ this morning. Does Vox have a forum rep here?

All they do is recreate the port for any issue.
 
I have also been having issues with intermittent latency and being disconnected. Also been through the port resets, and even contacted Telkom as it looked like a line error due to the frequent disconnects. Have not had any issues since yesterday afternoon.

Anyone else getting this? Just got an SMS stating I used 80% of my cap as well.

Also getting this on phone net (both Vodacom and Telkom)
 
Yeah same here, however haven't received any sms's

The portal is still working fine though
SMS is due to my usage, 80% of 300GB, I freaked out as I thought it was 80% of my cap+rollover, which would have been ~600GB instead of 250GB, which meant I'd used about 350GB in about 12 hours and would have a rogue device (possible on 100Mbps).

And I don't have a direct link to portal, so site saying I am blocked I was quite worried that my account got hacked or something as well.

Best uncapped package with Vox? This on a 20mbps adsl line. Or let me not say best as I’m assuming there is only one, but what is the FUP like?

20Mbps Uncapped:
• At 500GB consumed (50% of soft cap) – drop speed to 10Mbps
• At 750GB consumed (75% of soft cap) – drop speed to 5Mbps
• At 1000GB consumed (100% of soft cap) – drop speed to 2Mbps until end of month

Rather just get a large capped package from Vox?
20Mbps is R700pm, 800GB is R650 and you can roll-over/use midnight data. You the extreme streaming king? :D

Net is fine for me, still can't access the home page directly, need to go to any non-home page link to access the site.

We are 4 streaming kings lol. Jut afraid 800Gb won’t be enough ok
 
Their top up prices are extremely high, so just keep that in mind.

Well, since your usage will be more, you could just up your package (which took instant effect for me), and then if you want to you can downgrade again which will take a calendar month I think. You'll keep that data as roll-over as well.
