Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Tip for those struggling to authenticate.

Check your password in the portal, due to an security update on their side my password changed with the addition to 1 at the end as the new security requires at least one numerical number in your password.

And just had my net disconnect for 5 minutes, unable to authenticate. Now after being able to get back on, I have pages timing out, can't even do a speed test as getting under 0.1Mbps.

Well upgraded my package from 100 to 200 gigs. Get 2 invoices, one for R89 and one for R159. Get debited R250 and receive 200 gigs data. At least if you fecking deducting for 100 gigs as well, give me my damn 100 gigs data. Mofos

Had the same happen with Afrihost, received a credit note a few days later.

Bad net in the evening again today. Such bad timing as busy with other things, really don't want to look for another ISP again.

Shame here. Hardly working in the evening. And I came here after the last Web Africa fiasco.

Everything is good now again, it's weird as I would assume congestion to increase latency but it doesn't, just packet loss.

Connection just dropped. Wasnt even trying to establish a new connection. Cape town.

Edit: Just called support. Worst customer support ever.
A lady answers. Very unprofessional. Speaks to other people while I'm on the line. Then decides to mute her mic without even telling me to hold on. Then still screams to other people after. Then says I need to go test my router because no outages currently and she's "damn sure it's your router".

My router may be the problem as she even had me try a test account. Still don't trust it though and want to try an account from a different ISP, as it may be an outage that's not reported yet on their systems.

We are experiencing problems streaming DSTV. Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

Vox down again. seems they having a few issues of late maybe time to move isp

Fat Pipe ADSL down for me. Their Twitter post says they're having issues in the Durban area.

Durban area here, I dropped connection at least 10 times this weekend. Yesterday was particularly bad, between 12pm and 4pm I had a total of 5 connection drops.... If this carries on I'll be forced to look elsewhere. What has happened Vox?

Hi guys.

looking for a VDSL ISP, at the moment one of the names thrown at me is VOX, comments please.
Mostly use Netflix, torrents and then will do video / conference calls from home on Mondays (work from home)

experiences, good and bad please.

(can you do the copper and ISP contract with them, or do I have to do a separate openserve copper contract separately).

Seems Vox removed the line product from their site? They say you should get it from OpenServe/Telkom.

On fiber now, so can't really help, haven't checked prices for ADSL line rental in over a year.

Hi, recently purchased the 100gb adsl account to test the new SACS cable routing with Vox. I saw a user post a traceroute to 187.120.30.6 and it showed the new cable routing with 100ms to Fortazela. I did the same traceroute with the Vox account and it worked: 98ms from Cape Town to BR.

Unfortunately I do not see this routing being used for gaming or general use applications (with games like League of legends to Brazil server latency currently showing 350ms when I expected to see around 110-130ms).

Is the SACS cable routing not fully operational or is this a case-by-case basis with new addresses being allocated the routing?

Would my adsl (100gb)400gb promotion data work with openserve ftth? Thinking of taking a fiber line with an isp with a low cap and just use my 400gb fat pipe "dsl" data
