Official Vox DSL feedback thread

My vox account disconnected at exactly 00:00 and no internet since then. Infogro account working fine. Tried with both my 1TB account and normal fatpipe account on VOX with no luck.
Same thing happened to me, although my internet reconnected at some point in the night.
 
So I tried to get the 1TB special-thingie.
I get hold of support and I'm told that I'm not RICA'd.
(They want me to RICA a second time. For a fcking ADSL data account?! Seriously, WTF.)

The agent keeps insisting that I need to be RICA'd and that I can only get an account once that happens.
(Keeping in mind, she's sitting with my account open on her screen.)
So I ask her if it's possible to have an account and not be RICA'd -to which she said "no".
So I ask her whether she can see my account -to which she answered "yes".

*pause*
*Now I'm waiting for the penny to drop*
*more pause, but nothing*

Eventually, I'm like, "Well clearly I've been through this process before...?!"

*pause*

Then the reply eventually comes "You need to RICA, sir."
I'm like, "No, I need to take the hint that you guys don't want me to give you my money."

Their support and procedures are PATHETIC.
I won't be recommending Vox to anyone again.

Try opening a 2nd ADSL account with Afrihost without having to give your RICA details again, I dare you. ;) Their system will send you an automated email requesting proof of ID before the account is activated.

Some ISPs are more concerned with following the letter of the law than others, so don't blame them, blame the people who dreamed up these useless time-wasting procedures.

It works the same with SIM cards FYI. If you already have a Vodacom sim card for example, that does not excuse you from having to RICA other ones you might get in the future.

Anyone else getting throttled on the 1TB special account? Only getting a quarter of the speed on my 20m line.

Was having this issue earlier this week on the 400GB account ,2Mbps on a 10Mbps VDSL line. Using our Telkom uncapped account and no issues now.

Best open a support ticket with them and follow up daily with the first ticket number you receive.

Yeah, now it's down to 0.1MB/s. If I switch to my normal fatpipe account it jumps back up to 2.2MB/s

Mine was perfectly fine an hour ago now both accounts are barely moving.

I can't even open the Vox website for support.
 
My normal account just started slowing down as well. Something is definitely going on.
My account speed is fast again but it feels slow because if I do a tracert my ping from the 3rd hop is doubled and it has packet loss randomly.

Edit: Ping is normal again and no packet loss anymore, touch wood, it looks fixed.

Edit 2: Slow again.

Slow again this morning and also getting disconnected(line stays synced at 20m)
 
Well, this is only a post to complain that international connectivity on VOX is absolutely SH**TE ,... :( :( :(

What is even more irritating is that I'm using a fatpipe capped account... :( :( :(
 
Downloads on Vox extremely slow. Downloading the latest Windows 10 ISO at 60KB/s on my 20 Mb line. Downloading at 2.3MB/s over Afrihost.
