Olympics Opening Ceremony Online

WTF are they doing now? They're now flashing images of dead people. At what point did this celebration seem like a good time to do this and play Sarah Mclaghlan instrumental music over it as well? And what fscking point did that serve? This is getting stupid. It's as if Danny Boyle got bored halfway through preparing this all and had an extended coffee break...

I was wondering why he sounded so... off. And you're right about it having no purpose. It's just annoying.

Oh awesome. The dead people are followed up by more sad music and modern, subtextual interprative dance. Just fscking brilliant...:rolleyes:

What is the point of spending so much money hosting the olympics if you're not going to use the opportunity to promote your country? South Africa did the same with the world cup. That's why countries bid and are willing to spend so much hosting it, it's a chance to promote and have the whole world watching. It's as much about promoting the UK as it is about sport...
 
I fail to see the point of this colossal waste of time, money and energy. This must be the weakest opening ceremony if have yet witnessed.
