Nearly three months after its debut in China, OnePlus 10 Pro is finally launching globally. OnePlus is holding a keynote which will start streaming from 1:55PM UTC / 9:55AM EST / 7:25PM IST time and you can tune in via the embedded video below.

OnePlus 10 Pro launches globally

The OnePlus 10 Pro was launched in the early days of 2022 in China, and today, almost three months later, the phone is finally making its global debut.

The device is pretty much the same handset as its Chinese counterpart with one major change for the North American market where it gets downgraded to 65W fast charging, as the global 80W charger is incompatible with 110V networks.

In our review of the OnePlus 10 Pro, we established the difference between the two standards is pretty much non-existent, so it isn’t such a big deal.

The rest of the OnePlus 10 Pro hardware remains unchanged - the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with two memory options - 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB.

The screen is a 6.7” AMOLED with 1440p resolution, matching the OnePlus 9 Pro, but it's upgraded to LTPO2 this time around. It provides an actual adaptive refresh rate and varies from 1Hz to 120Hz. OnePlus also calibrated the panel at 500 nits and 1000 nits for more accurate colors across multiple levels of brightness.

DxOMark: OnePlus 10 Pro's cameras score poorly, place it behind the Mi 10 Pro

DxOMark published its review of the OnePlus 10 Pro's camera and it appears to be in line with most of the reviews out there. The conclusion is that the handset has some considerable issues that keep it from matching its rivala. As a result, the handset takes 27th place in DxOMark's global ranking, right behind the likes of Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Mi 11 Pro, vivo X60 Pro+ and Apple iPhone 12 Pro. All are more than year-old flagships.

The most notable cons DxOMark pointed out are color artifacts with a pink-ish cast, especially in low-light conditions, ghosting and fusion artifacts. Subpar ultrawide camera performance, white balance issues in low-light and lack of detail in videos with good lighting conditions were also mentioned.

Very poor result, disappointing.... camera performance continues to be OP's Achilles heel...

The scrolling on the OnePlus 10 Pro is bad, and OnePlus should feel bad

The OnePlus 10 Pro has a major scrolling problem, and it makes the phone borderline unusable.

To put it simply, the phone exhibits massive stutters and delays when scrolling in certain apps. My understanding is that this is brought about by the way OnePlus has configured the dynamic refresh rate system on the display.

Before going any further, here is a demonstration of how this works. First, let me try scrolling through an average Instagram timeline, which over the course of time has come to be populated with more videos than photos. The significance of this will be explained later.

Meh, I have the OnePlus 8 Pro and as much as I love OnePlus, I don't think I'll ever get another one. The 8 Pro came with big issues that have never been fixed...

My 7T Pro is still going okay but I think since Carl Pei left, things have gone downhill

Official: OnePlus will unveil the 10T and OxygenOS 13 on August 3

OnePlus will hold a launch event for the new OnePlus 10T on August 3 in New York City's Gotham Hall. You can buy tickets for the event and get OnePlus Nord buds and "other OnePlus swag" as part of the deal.

The OnePlus 10T will be the star of the show, but OnePlus will also show off its new OxygenOS 13.

The OnePlus 10T will go with the slogan 'Evolve Beyond Speed', but the main improvement over the 10 Pro is precisely in speed, courtesy of the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It will have a slightly different design to the OnePlus 10 Pro as well.
