Oneplus 3T

Thanks for the feedback Shubha, I'm probably going to do exactly what you did, so please keep us updated.

Hi guys,

I've also been thinking about buying the OnePlus 3T 64GB from ConnectedDevices for R8599.00 but then compared the pricing with Oppomart.com as suggested by phant1m. After much deliberation and research to ensure that I will be able to use LTE on the Vodacom network, I finally decided to buy it from Oppomart.com.

I bought the OnePlus 3T, the USB type-C port adaptor, a silicon case as well as the Dash Car Charger for under R8000. It was R7918.44 to be exact which included shipping of ($49.99) which was about R680.00.

From the research I've done I'm convinced that Oppomart sells the international model which will work (I'm 99.9% sure of it) on the Vodacom LTE network. Another concern of mine was whether the charger would be the South African standard but after reading some comments and answers on Oppomart, they ship the correct charger type depending on where you order from.

I placed the order this morning and will provide you with feedback once I've received the device.

Hi Shaun,

I am also wanting to get the International Version so I am very interested if Oppomart delivers the International version and what your experience is like.
Looking forward to reading your feedback!

I got my phone yesterday. It took approximately 9 working days ( I live in C.T) and they included an international adaptor which means dash charger can be used! Also, my voda sim and cell c sim (I cut it to nano size) works fine!My sister bought me phone cover and screen protector as a gift from amazon u.k.I am very much happy with my phone!

This version already has Oxygen OS .In addition, I upgraded it to noughat! Just download opera vpn (google apps), switch to germany and you will find update available.

Hi Guys and Gals,

Has anyone actually purchased anything from connecteddevices? They seem legit on the face of it but I placed an order and now I have no comms from them whatsoever. Also the number they provide goes to some answering service with an American sounding operator. I fear I may have lost my money :(

Hi Shubha,

Just to confirm, did you order your oneplus 3T from connecteddevices.co.za? I've placed an order with them but have had no communication from their side ever since. If you ordered and received your item then they're obviously legit , perhaps just a bit lacking in good customer service. Fingers crossed, really hope I didn't lose my cash here.

Hi Gents

Received my device today (11/1/17). Customs for the Zulu King (don't know who made him royalty) was about R1700,00
I went the German route cos of the EU plug direct. i didn't want the adaptor.
Setting up in progress ........

I purchased from them and it's 100%legit! The price includes SA tax of R1800, so customs are sorted. I have never called.I only emailed them and although slow, they have always replied. I have been delt with only one guy and his name is Bruce. I think it's a very small business. You can also try live chat on their site if they are online.

Also, did you get a receipt emailed to you ( Thank you for your purchase notification)?.If not, then email them. Once the parcel enters SA they give your parcel to SA courier called DAWN wing and Dawn wing will email you a tracking number. Like you I was nervous, so I used to often email them, but everything turned out fine. I am using my new device to reply to you.

That is such a relief. Thanks for the info. I look forward to using my new device now. Hopefully our reviews and comments will help this guy seem more legit.

Its an international site but they offer proper courier options. He got it in less then 7 days. As far I know I dont think the local guys have any added benefit like warranty support. Just thought would throw that out there.

Also the courier company will deal with taxes etc. Which is why i said final cost was about 7800.

does the delivery get sent to you physical delivery address or do you have to fetch it from the post office?

just worried there will be more fees.

thanks

Couriers will always contact you before hand with the extra charges if applicable. The post office will tell you when you go to collect the parcel at the counter. Most times the sender will under quote the cost of the items inside the package and you won't get charged.

I just got a package from China via TNT. Item cost R1900 but declared value was US$30. No charges.

Hi guys,

General question but the US model does not list the LTE band 3 (1800) which I know most cell phone networks here use.
Do you know if LTE band 1 is widely used enough that it will be ok to get the US version and still make use of Vodacom's LTE network?

If not then I will make sure I don't get the US version.

Thanks!

Bought mine on oneplus.net and had it delivered to a friend in HK who in turn brought it to me. Paid around R6,400 including a case. Has the Eu plug but I'm just using an adapter. Brilliant phone, works on Vodacom and I had LTE in joburg and various other places. Overall very satisfied!

Bought my OnePlus 3T on AliExpress. They going for about $440 + $13 postage. So Around R6100. Was an extra R500 for import duties and DHL admin cost.
Delivered to my door in 4 working days!
Awesome phone, and did the OTA upgrade last week to Android 7 (Marshmallow). Nice thing about AliExpress is the customer protection, so if you don't get your product you can raise a dispute and get your money back.

Have you got a link of the purchase?

Seems you were quite lucky with the shipping, the sites lists DHL shipping as $28.95 to ZA.

Can you perhaps confirm which charger plug type you received? EU (2 pins like ours), UK (3 pins), or US (2 flat pins)?

You right, it was $28 for shipping..

They sent a euro adapter (2 pin) for the flash charger. Just tell them you in ZA.
But I'm just using my normal USB plug for the cable to go into.
