Hi guys,
I've also been thinking about buying the OnePlus 3T 64GB from ConnectedDevices for R8599.00 but then compared the pricing with Oppomart.com as suggested by phant1m. After much deliberation and research to ensure that I will be able to use LTE on the Vodacom network, I finally decided to buy it from Oppomart.com.
I bought the OnePlus 3T, the USB type-C port adaptor, a silicon case as well as the Dash Car Charger for under R8000. It was R7918.44 to be exact which included shipping of ($49.99) which was about R680.00.
From the research I've done I'm convinced that Oppomart sells the international model which will work (I'm 99.9% sure of it) on the Vodacom LTE network. Another concern of mine was whether the charger would be the South African standard but after reading some comments and answers on Oppomart, they ship the correct charger type depending on where you order from.
I placed the order this morning and will provide you with feedback once I've received the device.
I purchased from them and it's 100%legit! The price includes SA tax of R1800, so customs are sorted. I have never called.I only emailed them and although slow, they have always replied. I have been delt with only one guy and his name is Bruce. I think it's a very small business. You can also try live chat on their site if they are online.Hi Guys and Gals,
Has anyone actually purchased anything from connecteddevices? They seem legit on the face of it but I placed an order and now I have no comms from them whatsoever. Also the number they provide goes to some answering service with an American sounding operator. I fear I may have lost my money![]()
Also, did you get a receipt emailed to you ( Thank you for your purchase notification)?.If not, then email them. Once the parcel enters SA they give your parcel to SA courier called DAWN wing and Dawn wing will email you a tracking number. Like you I was nervous, so I used to often email them, but everything turned out fine. I am using my new device to reply to you.Hi Shubha,
Just to confirm, did you order your oneplus 3T from connecteddevices.co.za? I've placed an order with them but have had no communication from their side ever since. If you ordered and received your item then they're obviously legit , perhaps just a bit lacking in good customer service. Fingers crossed, really hope I didn't lose my cash here.
Its an international site but they offer proper courier options. He got it in less then 7 days. As far I know I dont think the local guys have any added benefit like warranty support. Just thought would throw that out there.
Also the courier company will deal with taxes etc. Which is why i said final cost was about 7800.
Bought my OnePlus 3T on AliExpress. They going for about $440 + $13 postage. So Around R6100. Was an extra R500 for import duties and DHL admin cost.
Delivered to my door in 4 working days!
Awesome phone, and did the OTA upgrade last week to Android 7 (Marshmallow). Nice thing about AliExpress is the customer protection, so if you don't get your product you can raise a dispute and get your money back.
