The silicon case is a waste of time, really entry level case but it will do until my Rinke clear bumper case and black Diztronic cases get here sometime in the next 2 weeks. Ordered off Amazon, R490 all in...
There's a screen protector already factory fitted plus they included a tempered glass screen protector too!! Pretty chuffed with that.
The dash charger is UK spec with an adapter to fit our local plug points.
The build quality is outstanding. The phone has such a premium feel and finish and really fits snugly in hand. Very elegantly crafted and as good as anything coming out of the Samsung and Apple stables.
Oxygen is as stock standard Android as you going to get barring a custom build. There is practically zero bloatware on this device. It's basically the Google suite of apps and not much else. They haven't over done the customization and settings menu either. Just enough to keep it interesting. Where Samsung have recently gone overboard with options most don't use or find practical, Oneplus/Oxygen include far fewer but what they do include are so incredibly practical and well considered that you'll find yourself using them daily.
Performance is stellar. Device is ultra responsive and there's no noticeable lag under any circumstances. In app performance is still not as fluid as iOS though but pretty damn close!! The finger print scanner is ridiculously quick, although not always accurate if pressed at odd angles. With 6gb's of ram, multitasking is a none issue.
I recently gave up my primary number in order to take advantage of MTN's black friday promotion. The dual sim feature is so well implemented. I'm using new and old sims and they function seamlessly. That's hugely beneficial.
Battery life has been solid. I'll get a better idea once the novelty of a new phone has worn off and I can put it down for longer than 10 minutes at a time. From 0-60% took 30 minutes using the Dash charger. That's their claims, I timed it and it's spot on!! That's no mean feat considering it's a 3400mAh battery.
Camera is possibly a bit below par compared to the big hitters, P9, S7, iPh7 but still decent enough.
Also the screen is top notch but doesn't quite have the vibrancy or detail of some of the premium flagship devices. This is possibly the only area where expectations weren't met.
Anyway, loving the phone 2 days in. Got Squarehome2 setup and configured to my liking, and as a launcher, it just does it for me. It's based on the Windows tile format but with a plethora of options and settings. It works beautifully on the 3T and I love the departure from the traditional icon layouts we so used to seeing.
