Oneplus 6

Great, not the same thing though. An infinity wallpaper have an animation that transitions from te lock screen to the homescreen. And it's slow AF

So don't buy phones that do that? If I wake my phone with a finger on the fingerprint reader I only see the unlocked homescreen. If I wake it using the power button the face unlock is still fast enough for only the unlocked homescreen to be shown.

OnePlus devices are lightning fast. That's why we love them.

So I was right then? R12k (on gumtree) flagship felled by love wallpaper?

I'm not worked up. Just saying that you don't have to compromise with your phone. You can have fancy live wallpapers, super speed, instant face unlock and great battery life.

It's not necessarily true though that the Samsung infinity wallpaper is why the unlock is slow. I'd say it's unlikely considering that no brand has as fast a face unlock as OnePlus, so I don't see any reason to believe Samsung is being held back by a wallpaper. It's more likely that a fancy wallpaper is being used to mask the face unlock delay, which is a good strategy I suppose.

It's such a tragedy that Samsung doesn't release Android One editions of their flagships. Damn, those would be fine phones.

That wallpaper is not fancy. It's fugly and unnecessary and it definitely makes a difference to speed, and is the main reason I don't use it.

The pixel 2 XL also lags with some animated wall papers.

I didn't have lag issues when I sideloaded the Pixel 2 live wallpapers. Weird.

In any case, the Alive app has nicer live wallpapers imo and they claim to be battery neutral. $1 a year to unlock the full collection. I freakin' love that app. Can't count how many times people have asked about my live wallpaper.

It happened on some not all. I don't see this behaviour on Android P. Also might have just been a bad configuration and a wipe could've sorted it.

I'll give Alive a shot. Thanks for mentioning it.

Hi guys, can anyone help with a Material Safety Data sheet for the Oneplus 6 battery? Need it for the courier company apparently

I'd sooner pay R12k for a OP6 than an S9+ though. OnePlus phones have much better battery life, are bloat-free, get system updates months faster and are lightning fast in general. I can't tolerate what Samsung does to Android.

AMEN and I have a Note 8. Great hardware but software is crap .

What's the difference between the A6000 and A6003 models?

A6000 version (India, Asia, China):
LTE (Bands 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,17,18,19,20,25,26,28,29,66)
TD-LTE (Bands 34,38,39,40,41)

A6003 version (Europe, North America):
LTE (Bands 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,17,18,19,20,25,26,28,29,30,32,66,71)
TD-LTE (Bands 34,38,39,40,41)

I've also read on XDA that apparently run different OS flavours.

A6000 runs hydrogen OS
A6003 runs oxygen OS

Can anyone confirms this?

hi guys
what cases are you guys using with you Oneplus 6?
anyone got the Otterbox?
anyone waiting on the Spigen unit?

also heard not so great things about the official OP tempered glass protector
is there any others you would recommend as im thinking of either the Otterbox case or holding for the Spigen

anybody used the Poetic?

He said he's been using the device for 2 weeks, but firmware updates can change camera performance quite a lot. Perhaps his camera samples predate the firmware that was running on other reviewer's devices. Because it does seem weird what a discrepancy there is.

Either way, I'll soon be able to verify for myself. I got an email from OnePlus that my shipment has been delivered in the UK. Just need to wait for my family to fly down now (in two weeks).

Hi Bryn

I'd like to confirm if the A6000 or A6003 version is for the Europe / North America region.
Did you obtain the A6000 or A6003 version from the UK OnePlus store ?

Thank you
