My only issue with wanting to upgrade to this phone is that it will be an upgrade in every aspect except the resolution, which will go down. That bothers me more than it should.

I was also against big phones but I'm over that now.

Everything else I'm happy about...

Yeah, Oneplus have been frugal with their screen res. Motivated by battery consumption no doubt and cost I guess. Saying that, the screen punches well above it's pixel rating IMHO. I find the 6 really bright and vibrant. Sunlight legibility is decent, wouldn't describe it as great though...

0 surprises most likely. Everything has already been leaked. I think maybe the biggest surprise will be the revamped UI and how it effects performance.

Will be interesting to see how responsive the in screen finger print reader is.

Hopefully we will see a decent reworking of the camera software and app. I been using the pixel 3 camera app and it's startling how much better it is compared to stock. Decent software has a profound effect.

How is the 6? I'm also looking to upgrade from my 3T but so torn between the 6 and 6T. That in screen fingerprint scanner looks amazing, but the lack of headphone jack is making me second guess...

That's good to know I think if there are some specials, or a price drop, on the 6 after the 6T comes out then that will definitely tip the scales for me.
