Oneplus 6T

Watching now.

Find these launches so cringe worthy though. Everyone tries to ramp it up Apple style and it's hysterical watching them tank at it...

Yea I think it's time to get my first oneplus.
I love the fact that they focus on software optimization.
So many phones have the 845, and software is where you can beat the competition.
Yes it might be a sales pitch, but I fell for their whole community vibe. After all, they only have 1 phone to work on, they can put 100% into this one device.

Any ideas what the 8+128 for 579 would land here for? Very keen.

Anyone got the ear buds? Wired or wireless? I want opinions.

Once you go Oneplus you won't look back.

Couldn't believe the failure rate stats! OP doing brilliantly in that regard! Samsung predictably poor...

Yeah, Oxygen OS is superb! Minimalist and functional, with focus on performance! OP phone's fly!! Can't wait to see how well the 6T is going to perform given their ram modifications... Pubg is a game where the iPhone Xs hammered the OP6 in a performance test. OP6T will run the game 8 seconds sooner! That's significant!

0.34s for the in-screen fingerprint reader. That's pretty good but no match for the 0.2s of the rear mounted fingerprint reader on the 5T,/6. Still, should be decent enough..

The only thing I can tell you about their ear buds is they perpetually sold out...

Reckon the 8gb/128gb model will set you back around R11k locally depending on where you source it...

The 6T makes a lot more sense vs. the mess Google announced earlier this month.

That base model 6+128GB OP6T will run rings around the top Pixel 3 XL, let alone the 8+128GB and 8+256GB. A lot of phone for the money here.

I guess the pricing makes up for lower resolution 1080P display and lack of IP68.

Nice one OP.

You cannot notice the lower res screen. Read up on Retina display and what ppi they are and you'll understand. ;) Not that this phone is Retina but it doesn't matter that it's 1080p.

Not buying. Owned OPO, OP3T, OP6
need better speakers and vibration motor. still no improvement in that field.

Good 'T' upgrade in my opinion. Has enough in it to even entice current OP6 owners to upgrade. I'll personally stay with the OP6 and wait it out till the 7/7T. Will also jump onto he 128/256 as the 64gb one I have is already 75% full

This is what a T update should be - just a small bump to keep things fresh but not enough to alienate customers from the last 6 months. OP6 owners are getting the new camera improvements and the new gesture navigation, the two best aspects of the 6T imo.

It's pretty obvious the 6T is not aimed at 6 owners. If the OP7 can manage a bezel-less front design however...
