How do I get my hands on one of these (or the future ones) in ZA?

The ones on AliExpress are all Chinese version flashed with global.AliExpress is where I've got most of mine including my op12. Great experience all round. I've never had to return a OnePlus for repairs though. I reckon this is where the experience would fall desperately short.
I got a OnePlus 7 Pro with Chinese Rom, just flashed global rom. No issues what so ever. The ones on AliExpress are all Chinese version flashed with global.
The only place I found that ships the actual global version to SA was MyGSM.
With shipping and import duties it would have been around R20k. And I couldn't find anyone who could post their experience with them.
Have up and in the end I just went with a Poco F7 Ultra, which is pretty much the same thing, just without eSim. Which you can get for R13k locally...

Have you ordered from them before?OnePlus 15 and more

If not for the terrible cameras - this would have been the iPhone killer.

Id probably go oneplus 15 for the bigger batteryOnePlus 15 vs Oneplus 13: Which one to get? - GSMArena
Yeah if you look the bootloader on global ROM you can't go back as far as I knowSo I can get the chinese Oneplus 15 base model for like £510. Crazy to think for a flagship phone. Seriously tempted, but Im a bit confused about the need of flashing to the global rom?
As far as I understand everything will work on the Chinese stock rom, updates and banking apps etc. Only downside is some bloatware, google news (swipe left) & voice assistant wont work, and it needs to set up from a notifications point of view
You can flash the global rom, but banking apps wont work unless you lock the bootloader but thats irreversible?
I think the Oneplus 13 has a somewhat similar process?
thoughts around the possibility of bricking the phone with a future update?Yeah if you look the bootloader on global ROM you can't go back as far as I know
I'm using a OP 15 at the moment with global rom and locked bootloader it's amazing really
Using it for a review for our online store
Will make a proper review of it soon
Really hope that doesnt happenthoughts around the possibility of bricking the phone with a future update?
