OnePlus 7

Looks really good.

I hope to see more manufacturers drop the notch.

7 Pro is going neck to neck with $1000 flagships and all indications are it might still be slightly on the back burner re camera performance and some of your nice to have's, like IP ratings and wireless charging but what swings it back in favour of the Pro has got to be the screen! 93.22% screen to body ratio, no notch, practically bezel-less, 90hz refresh rate, Amoled... add to that ufs 3.0, 855 snapgragon, andreno 640 and you got yourself once of the most competent all rounders on the market. Starting at $669 it's a relative bargain!!
I get the feeling a lot of late 2019 flagships will be following this +6.6inch Display trend and 90% display ratio, so OnePlus did a good job on jumping on it.

I see the European pricing is absolute garbage. :crying:

I can buy from either the UK or French OnePlus.com stores, but both prices suck:
£699 = R12 886
€759 = R12 133

Compared to $699 = R9 967, a difference of R2 166 and R2 919. What in the actual f**k.

Suddenly my enthusiasm for switching out my OP6 has diminished substantially.

I see they learned and equipped the pro with a decent vibration motor.

Phone looks good. Def on my order list.

Isn't it $669 not $699?

Thoroughly enjoy Mr.Mobile's reviews.

The fact that the phone detects free fall and retracts the pop up camera is absolutely awesome! I am really beginning to warm up to the idea of these pop up cameras.

On the other hand the main Camera does seem to need some work but it seems to do a good job.

That friggin Display, I cannot get over how good it looks.

Battery life going by Display refresh rate

The in-screen fingerprint reader has really been refined and I could see myself using this as the default unlock method, rather than putting an unnecessary burden on the pop up camera.

OnePlus has said the pop-up camera is designed to be used 150 times a day for 5 years. So don't think there will be much burden on the pop-up camera with normal regular use at all.

Only time will tell I guess.

OnePlus 7 Pro's pop-up selfie camera can hold a 22kg slab of cement without breaking

The OnePlus 7 Pro is the first device from this company to feature a motorized pop-up selfie camera. Naturally, many of you will have concerns about the mechanism's durability, and OnePlus says it should be fine with at least 300,000 'pops' over the lifetime of the phone. But when popped out that camera sure looks fragile? Is it, though?

That's what OnePlus' latest publicity stunt... erm, promo video wants to answer. Spoiler alert: this video involves a 49.2lb (22.3kg) slab of cement. So it's not for the faint of heart, for sure.

Interesting re ufs 3.0 one reviewer copied 40gb of data off of his pc to the 7 pro in 2 min 17 seconds. The same exercise took over 17 minutes on the OP6ttech.PNG

Not a great deal in it then?

I think battery life is going to be one area the pro doesn’t excel. But with warp charging, at least there’s damage limitation.

Google cam port will show how behind OP is when it comes to camera software development.
This is battery life comparable to the Galaxy S10+, so it's not too bad, much better than the LG G8.

With OnePlus working on Dynamic display refresh rates, this can only get better, which is great.
