OnePlus 7

Loving the look of that Pro! Some decent specs to. Was expecting more out of the Warp Charging. Excellent effort on DxOMark as well.

The competition is just getting closer in Android in almost every aspect.

I wonder how the Battery Life will be considering the display runs at 90Hz and is 6.67inch large.

Will stick to my OP6T, don't like the popup camera. I don't mind the tear drop notch at all.

I hardly ever use the selfie camera, so I'd prefer a pop-up camera that will be seldom used to get rid of the notch.

Not a fan of the super rounded corners though.

I use both face and fingerprint unlock. I don't use the front camera for selfies, just the occasional unlock. I really don't want anything mechanical. The OP6T notch is perfectly fine by me and as you know you can hide it completely.

Is there anything about IP rating e.g. IP68 Water and Dust Resistance or Fast Wireless Charging in the OnePlus 7 Pro? Bit disappointing if it didn't bring those.

I'm super keen to get one of these. The display is just flippin insane. And the timing is excellent as I will have family coming back from Europe mid-June. Hmm... I wonder what I could get for my mint 128GB/8GB OnePlus 6.

OnePlus has said many times that the IP rating isn't worth the money. The phone appears to be as waterproof as we expect from flagships though. OnePlus have a video on their YT channel of them dunking the phone in a bucket of water, and Dave2D left the device submerged for the entirety of his review and it was fine at the end after 15 minutes of talking.

OnePlus hasn't had a water issue for a while now though. It's not new with the OP7 Pro.

Can't have it all... It's a compelling package. I can see myself getting one.

The screen is gorgeous and with UFS 3.0, I'd expect this thing to blow just about everything out the water. I'm really looking forward to the speed test shootouts. I live or that s hit... but I think the pro's most compelling feature is definitely the screen.

A number of reviewers already have there's and are releasing camera comparison tests and if I didn't already know it scored 111 on Dxomark, I would guess, from the comparisons, that this is a 103-105 shooter. So reviewer ratings and the Dxomark are not really correlating for me at this point.

The popup selfie camera is nifty. Will be really interesting to see how it ages.

The in-screen fingerprint reader has really been refined and I could see myself using this as the default unlock method, rather than putting an unnecessary burden on the pop up camera.

I'm happy about the dual speaker setup, welcome improvement in that department.

All-in-all I think this is a significant step up from the 6T and well worth the outlay.

Oh, very nice! Will have a look at his video!

Only other worry is the OnePlus 7 Pro battery, 4000mAh while rocking a 6.67inch 90Hz WQHD+ Display, MKBHD was talking bout max 4.5hours SOT, yikes if that is true but expected. 4500mAh like the Galaxy S10 5G would have made more sense in this one.

I am in two minds about the OP7 Pro. I like it's design but not sure about all the hardware.

Let me go watch more reviews.

Really loving how tight the competition is in Android. Samsung, Huawei, OnePlus, OPPO etc... Pulling out all the stops.

Literally every other major reviewer says the battery life is excellent though, and it wouldn't be the first time MKBHD has reported battery life way off the mark.

I'm assuming the guy has an absurd amount of battery-intensive apps running in the background. And he's well-known for his engagement on social media, so it's likely the phone seldom gets to sleep when notifications are pouring in every second of every day.

That display is glorious!

7 Pro is going neck to neck with $1000 flagships and all indications are it might still be slightly on the back burner re camera performance and some of your nice to have's, like IP ratings and wireless charging but what swings it back in favour of the Pro has got to be the screen! 93.22% screen to body ratio, no notch, practically bezel-less, 90hz refresh rate, Amoled... add to that ufs 3.0, 855 snapgragon, andreno 640 and you got yourself once of the most competent all rounders on the market. Starting at $669 it's a relative bargain!!
