OnePlus 7

I was a bit underwhelmed by its performance in the speed test against the S10, in particular in the rendering category. With UFS 3.0 I was expecting it to blow through the rendering. The Sammy was actually quicker. That's disappointing.
I saw that on Gary Explains, Speed test G.

Maybe Android or the Speed test app is just not optimized for UFS3.0 currently? In the long terms things should get better.

Save your money and wait for the new Xiaomi Redmi flagship killer: K20 / Pocophone F2. Just hit an antutu score top of the charts. Oneplus are pricing themselves out of contention IMO.

Robert Downey Jr. will be the star of the OnePlus 7 Pro's promo campaign

The OnePlus 7 Pro will be promoted by one of the hottest movie stars in the world right now, Robert Downey Jr. As Avengers: Endgame is still on top of the box office (for the third week straight) and threatens to dethrone Avatar as the highest grossing movie ever, Mr. Iron Man himself is collaborating with OnePlus to launch a promo campaign.

The campaign will launch across China and India soon in various formats. Here’s what RDJ had to say about it:

"It’s cool to see a young brand disrupting the tech landscape. I was challenged to help them create an authentic campaign based on the tenets of quality and craftsmanship, and it’s already proving to be a great fit creatively. In checking out the upcoming ‘OnePlus 7 Pro’ the attention to detail coupled with innovative design was truly impressive."

Thanks, but no thanks.

This is gonna be an Awesome device... but its just too big for me :(

Even the Mate 20 pro can get a bit heavy with 1 hand usage after a while.

1+7 = 162.6 x 75.9 x 8.8 mm , 206g .
M20 Pro = 157.8 x 72.3 x 8.6 mm , 189g

Thats a hefty chunk bigger & heavier.

Unless the camera reviews and comparisons are being done with the new firmware update, they're a complete waste of time. Seems to be a dramatic improvement.

Is there an update? Been wondering about that. The results so far, it's difficult to see how the Pro scored 111 on Dxo...

DxO have a disclaimer that the update that is present on their camera will go live to the general public later in the month.

Say again? The firmware version on the DxO test unit is different (more recent) to the one released to the public?

Very interesting!! I gotta say gents, I think I'm going to pull the trigger on one of these... Almond 8gb/256gb...

I wonder if a OnePlus 7T would be released?

I somehow doubt it as there are now already 2 variants. Maybe OnePlus will release one flagship a year again.

Keen on the 7, but would rather wait for the 7T as I already have the 6T.

It's on the review page:

Please note: The camera firmware used for the DxOMark tests is not yet currently available to consumers. OnePlus will make it available as an over-the-air update before the end of the month.
