Okay so here's a question:

R6500 for a Huawei Mate 20 Pro - Brand new (local set, 2 year warranty)
R7100 for a Oneplus 7 (NON pro) - Brand new (export set, 3 mths warranty)

That is a difficult choice... I can only see buying a 1+7 for oxygenOS and potentially huawei's android fall out.

Anyone have an extra OEM case for the 7 Pro they want to sell? The one in the box is kinda crappy (I don't like see-through cases). Local pricing is crazy. Order from Amazon is going to take 2 weeks to arrive.

Did you use South African details for the student discount? Also, isn't the student discount supposed to be 10%?

Yeah, used my ZA student email. The discount is 5% on phones and 10% on accessories. If I remember correctly.

I'm thinking of doing the same; get the student discount and buy from OnePlus US and use myUS or Aramex Global Shopper to ship it to me. Please let me know what your taxes are like because I saw a seller on bidorbuy selling it for 13.5k so if that ends up being a better deal then maybe I'll just do that.

Its about the same. If you decide to import use myUS and not AGS, they are slow as hell at the moment. I'm still waiting to get my phone.

Ah thanks! In this case it may be better for me to get it from the bidorbuy seller. Now I just need to decide whether to get the 6GB/128GB or 8/256 Nebula blue. Which one did you get?

I got the 8/256 Nebula Blue. I would recommend the 8/256, the extra $30 is a worthy upgrade over the 6/128. Don't think the 12gb one is worth though...

I'd go for the black version 8/256 if you are going to run a cover.

Seller seems to be international just be aware. So still have to pay taxes.

He specifically mentions the price includes shipping and customs. Also, some reviews do confirm this.

He also uses aramex according to the reviews. So he probably ships the items using his own aramex account.

Singapore prices so doesn't help much, but i am not gonna bother with the OP7 anymore, will wait to see what OP7T and Pixel 4 look like in a few months.
