Gmail shouldn't be a problem. Maybe your sync frequency is too high on some services though? Check your battery stats and see if any app stands out.

Can't find how to change sync frequency. I think my battery life should be better given the massive battery size. Hm, didn't someone else post a while ago about their battery life not being that great

I don't recall any such post. Most sync settings are available in the accounts section of settings, and some apps have their own settings for update frequency. It's not just about background syncing - anything that wakes the device will kill battery. Many apps unfortunately have update or notification intervals that are very low by default. I always check an app's settings after installing it to avoid future issues.

I thought Id post some feedback in terms of my battery usage.

Ive found that if I use the standard 2A charger the battery lasts MUCH longer than with a fast charge.

Been getting at least 24hours per cycle, even with high usage, that includes Wifi and GPS on.

I never thought about the difference a charger might make. As it happens, I use an old Nokia charger I found lying around that for some reason was never previously used and looks brand new.

I've had outstanding battery life with my OPO since day one. It's hardly ever at less than 50% by late evening after a day of fairly heavy usage. And on standby it uses almost no battery at all.

Hmmm. I'm already at 70%, stopped charging at about 5.30am. SOT is at 1,5 hrs. Think I need to do some tinkering. Maybe my screen brightness is too high, top consumer at 45% of the battery. But brightness is on auto

45% is way too high. Don't use auto if you can avoid it. Always have the minimum usable brightness.

Agreed. Yeah, will do that now and see how it goes. Thanks :)

Just got my phone! :D

I've ordered the Cruzerlite Bugdroid+Nillkin screen protector bundle, hoping that arrives tomorrow. I thought Amazon would beat the OPO for delivery, but I'm not complaining.

Shipping to Dubai? I ordered on the 16, paid on the morning of the 17th and received the thing just before noon today, the 20th. Pretty good going, especially as that was on standard shipping, not express.

There's a warehouse in the UK apparently, so that obviously helps :)

BIG :D So far so good- I can't see any stuck pixels :p

That's about all I've had time for. I'll only really be able to play with it this evening. I've lined up my backups etc, to migrate everything from my S3 to the OPO.

Great man :D

Somebody is bringing it over for me from the US, so I'm waiting for them.

Why do companies feel the need to make you have to give someone a blow job while standing one your left hand and rubbing your head with the other to get their "elusive" devices? It is fcking retarded. Just bloody open the fcking thing so that people can place their orders. Jeeeeez.

lol

They have limited manufacturing abilities. Meizu does the same in China as I understand it. They won't be able to keep up if they open it permanently.

China cant pump out these babies quick enough? I dont buy it. Then they need to learn to plan properly. Seriously, I guess there are people out there that will be patient to get this phone and send up a little prayer every night that whatever deity will grant them their wish for a OnePlus or a Iphone 6, but I say fck that sh*t. Ill rather then go out and buy a Hisense Pure 1 for R2499 @ Makro. OnePlus kan in hulle ma se alie gaan vlieg! pfffft.

So tired of these companies thinking they so special that consumers should get on their knees and suck their hairy nuts to get one of their precious phones!

Sorry....dont know why this is getting me so mad today, but it is.
