This one seems much lower though :/
That seems like a load of crap. My invoice from DHL clearly stated the 14% duty on the phone + 14% VAT on phone and charger + R150 disbursement fee. I paid the requested amount as soon I received the email and the package cleared through customs almost immediately after entering the country.
Good day
As per the chargers of
Vat- R 685.72
Luxury duty-R271.88
Customs duty-R59.20
Kind Regards
Thanks Bryn26..was supposed to have done some reading last night but was too tired after work.
With regards to the FedEx options on Stackry, the shipping is about $75 for FedEx Economy and $110 for FedEx Priority..so surely both options should be ok and not use the post office..I had a bluetooth keyboard delivered using FedEx and it didn't go through the post office..I shall go back and see what option I used

Indeed it looks llke it is. FedEx called me this morning saying the charge is close to R1200. I later got an email:
And ovbiously there customs clearing fee is around R200. TBH when its broken down like that its not so bad. VAT is what really hits. Oh well.
Fedex is fine. Not sure why youre seeing $75. Mine cost me a total of $54 dollars with package consolidation (I had 3 packages so 3x$2)
All the other options Stackry offer are through the post office. They use DHL global mail which isnt the same as DHL Express ever one else recommends. Stick with FedEx.
Those shipping charges are nuts. Unless you're sending yourself a crate something isn't right.
Apologies, chaps..was using their estimating tool based on shipping sizes i found on the oneplus forum.
@wes1007 which FedEx option did you go for?Economy or Priority?
Economy. I cant justify R200 for the slight chance that it gets here 2 days earlier.

Thank you,
Has anyone else dealt with this type of request? Am I in any danger what so ever of ID theft, and or fraud?
My Paypal CC is linked to my home address, and my delivery address (for Stackry) is my work address, could this have caused this "payment discrepancy"?
So the friend of mine did not send the phone back in time and now it's past the due date for returns
Any idea how I can get it sent to me at the lowest cost possible?
Really just want to send a collection request for a courier or someone to fetch it as I can see she's getting annoyed with me and the arrangements.
Thanks
give FedEx or DHL a call. They might be able to organise pickups from overseas :/
Id go with DHL express if i were you. They seem to be cheaper than FedEx and also seem to attract less import duties...
Make sure they put it down as a gift as it will be coming from your friend. That way you might not get taxed on it or at the least may not incur import duties.
