I never use covers. Kinda pointless to protect the back, when you're never going to see it.

All I'm saying, is be careful if you don't use a cover.

Fair enough. Ive mostly got a cover on to protect the screen and protect from falls.. Im not so worried about the back. The Tudia Cygen is raised a fair bit off the screen.

So, I've read the Anandtech review of this device, and from a hardware standpoint, it seems pretty fantastic. CM will be CM, but knowing XDA, there'll be a Lollipop AOSP-based ROM out for it soon enough.

Any current owners running a different ROM on it?

Big thanks to Jman for the invite! Bought mine on the UK site this morning as I have a friend coming to SA next week. Cost me about R5000 with delivery though... I'm just hoping it gets to him by Friday, he leaves for sa Fri evening! Order is currently in Processing stage with express shipping...

Android is pretty easy to install ROMs on. Regardless of phone. Theres loads of instructions for the most common ones on how to root and install custom ROMs.

Yeah I know, I've done it before. Just saying, it should be even easier on the OPO. Anyway, since it ships with CM, I'm going to wait for the CM Lollipop. If I'm not happy, I will check what the other offer.

I was tempted to root mine last night but then decided not to as I have just finished setting everything up.

Flipping impressed with the battery life on this though.

Yesterday I had it in balanced mode with about 4 odd hours of on screen time and about 15 hours on battery and was sitting at around 10% left.

Today I've underclocked it to 2GHz and threw it into power save mode currently on 3 hours of on screen time:
