Lucky! Oh really? What did it end up costing you then?

No worries :)

The phone alone came to R5000 on the UK site. Didn't have to pay shipping or imports so it looks like it worked out to about the same price...

Anybody running a Lollipop ROM yet?

been debating this since yesterday...

Should have Unlocked my boot-loader when I got the phone :crying:

Mine cost a bit more than that, between Fedex and SARS I got nailed.

Same here.. In total it came to around R6k if not more. I try not to think about it too much

You can still do it?

I want to see what CM comes up with, but I'm getting impatient. Although this release doesn't seem to be going smoothly. Lollipop isn't even out on my N7 yet.

Something OPO owners might not be aware of: if you go to Privacy Guard in your privacy settings, touch the options button and then go to Advanced, you can finely tune the permissions of your apps. I've found removing the ability of overactive apps like Gmail, Facebook, Google Play Services etc to wake the device and request my location assists battery life quite a bit.

You can also check if any of your apps are misbehaving with excessive wakes, location requests etc. CM ftw!

I could but it means loosing all my apps and stuff I've spent the last 3ish days setting up...

This is frikken useful info!

One feature i like is if you have a pin code on your lock screen you can have the numbers order randomized so your pin cant easily be recognized by looking at the smudges on the screen:

So my phone should be delivered by today through Fedex.

When do I have to pay the clearing fee?

maybe this new ROM will have some tricks up its sleeve... Who Knows

Been playing with CM12 and its pretty damn stable.

Problems ive found so far:

* Camera has some weird glitch where one half of the image looks slightly darker than the other
* Pinning apps without having on screen nav buttons enabled means you cannot get out of said pinned app.
* Battery life seems to be a little less than what i had before.
* Has to be set as your primary ROM in Multirom or it wont install...

This has been a long time coming...

No one is surprised that more manufacturers want to run CM, but an exclusive deal is surprising. And not talking to OnePlus in advance is very disrespectful, considering what an important showcase CM on the OPO was for Cyanogen.

OnePlus hasn't sold many devices though, so it's understandable that Cyanogen would jump at the opportunity to supply any regular phone manufacturer.

lucky you..guess it helps if you in joburg..mine was also shipped from stackry on 25/11 and should be delivered today hopefully!!

as for the whole CM & OnePlus relationship - it is a bit worrying but it seems as if it will only affect devices sold in India..according to OnePlus' announcement, the rest of the world will still be getting support from CM for the One..if not, then I best start learning how to root!!

Sure, but when CM signed the deal with OPO, they knew that they had planned to market the device in the manner in which they have. So for CM to go behind their back and obtain an exclusivity deal with Mircomax of all people while still under contract with OPO, is wrong IMO. It's a precursor to how they plan on doing business with other OEMs.

Oh well, if the OP rom is any good, maybe this is a blessing in disguise.
