But I'm not an arab apologist, really. I simply state the simple fact that it is generally true for human beings that the only thing worse than death is being unable to live. But a person has to be able to imagine living in order to avoid this fate. Sadly, though, people consider some things unlivable. And when that happens they tend to get violent. Considering this, the whole Israel-Palestine issue can only pragmatically be solved by addressing what each side truly considers unlivable.
Pointing out that some things are considered pretty much universally unlivable means that subjecting someone to that kind of thing is a bad idea. If your solution to a problem cannot avoid making this mistake, then as a general principle it's a ****ty solution.
But hey, by all means, I also wish everyone would spread this message far and wide. I suspect some good might come of it.
