Ongoing Palestinian terror attacks against Israel.

Again they chose to live like that due to their actions over many years. I feel little for them or maybe at least as much as I feel for the inmates of Pollsmoor. They can or could have chosen a different life, in peace with Israel, but they wont as they want Israel anihilated and Israel will never allow them to become strong enough to attack them with advanced weapons as that is what they WILL do!

Honestly, I believe that there are a lot of innocent arabs that live in fear of speaking out against hamas and the other terrorist factions - they live oppressed by their own people, who use them as pawns in their desire to cause as much harm as they can to innocent Israelis... they may have voted in hamas, but when was the last election? what has the 'government' of hamas done for it's people? besides brainwash the youth to hate without cause and kill without remorse

And yet Israel was condemned when it did targeted killings. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

It's the lesser of the two evils really. They are very good at infiltrating, I've seen videos and photos of the undercover work they do.

Only cuz they claim to be a democracy, and being a democracy means that you're bound to uphold standards such as equality before the law and innocent until proven guilty.

no, the mosque is a converted byzantine church that was built on top of the temple grounds.
Church of St. Mary of Justinian
http://orthodoxwiki.org/Church_of_St._Mary_of_Justinian_(Temple_Mount,_Jerusalem)

thanx.
so my understanding is more or less correct:
the jews had their temple there from the outset.
the christians came along & were having none of that & built a church on top of it.
then the muslims came along and turned the church into a mosque.

this is a curious situation given the land grabs etc going on in the region and demands that land be returned to it's rightful inhabitants - which to me would indicate the jews / israel demolish & remove themselves from the illegal settlements they have created, and the mosque / temple mount, should be returned to the christians, who in turn should hand it back to the jews.

seems a terribly inconvenient history for all parties concerned

I agree not many Palestinians want to live the way they do. Its the same here the locals still vote ANC no matter what. There they voted Hamas and are now stuck with them. IMHO if the palestinaians declare a intafada against hamas and the extremists Israel will be to willing to help them in no time. But they dont and wont!

It wasn't obvious from the start?

I had hoped not. Live and learn, I guess.

this drama developed out of muslims objecting to jewish access to the al-aqsa mosque compound - along with some unfounded rumour regards the israeli government changing laws pertaining to the mosque.

i asked this before, but was never answered.
the site where this mosque is located, is that not temple mount, where the jewish temple is located - effectively, the mosque was built on top of the temple ?

thanx.

I answered you when you asked previously - there was a Jebusite threshing floor there originally before King David conquered Jerusalem. So the Jebusites were the original 'owners'.

His question is legit, the muslim wont share. They would rather go on a killing spree than have a jew pray on the temple mount.
I have been btw, the vibe is iffy, all across the old city. I would have to go to PD to elaborate though why.

I'm interested in your experience, and have thus opened this thread for the purpose. :)

Also, Jews are banned from praying there by fairly unanimous religious decree, AFAIK.

Anyone who is suffering will vote for the best option to end their suffering, even if that means placing faith in Satan himself. Again, it's human nature.

Not even the Navy Seals can withstand waterboarding. Some physical realities just provoke "irrational" behaviour to the point where people are willing to die because the alternative means accepting the logical conclusion that they have no justification by which to claim their right to life.

And we should all go back to Europe and give back the land to..... who ?

It's really irrelevant who was where first - particularly because we don't even know who was the first there..

Show me one person that ever accepts collective guilt for the sins of another. Where in history has this been a common phenomenon?

Who likes paying for the mistakes of others?

Clearly.

Sure, because Israel ever cared about the Palestinians. Even as far back as 1948 there were massacres by the Israeli forces on Palestinian civilians. Go read Uri Avnery's personal accounts if you find such a claim dubious.

People remember atrocities committed against them, and they react violently to future perceived events which they consider harbingers for similar atrocities. It's human nature, you are blaming them for being human. It is not in a man's nature to run away from his home just because someone in the area threatens him. It is not reasonable to blame a man for standing his ground to protect what he thinks his home is.

Again justifying what the palestinians do using history. Disregarding Israel history. So my expected perception was in line what you came to do here. Right. It's pointless.

is not the same as

1 target, 1 death.

We need to remember a few facts, the first of which is that arab terrorists hide amongst the civilian population, therefore using their family and innocent people around them as human shields...

A second important fact to remember is the way the media portrays Israel, as such, any such targeted attack against a terrorist would result in mass media outcry "Israel kills Arab"... thinking about this point, link back to the above point, that any such attack would most likely result in the death of innocent civilians.. just imagine the outcry...

A Jewish Israeli with a psychiatric history was arrested in Dimona Friday morning after four Bedouins were stabbed in what initial investigations labeled a nationalistically motivated attack.

The 17-year-old stabber, know to police, admitted under questioning that he believes all Arabs are terrorists and that is the reason why he stabbed them.

Funny how the Jewish guy that stabs people doesn't get put down immediately, like this lady that was executed while standing around with her hands up. :(

Thursday night Jews tried to lynch three Arabs at Kikar Haatzmaut in Netanya, while shouting "death to the Arabs". Two managed to escape, but the third was injured.

It apparently started when dozens of residents spotted three Arabs there. According to bystanders, one of the Arabs shouted 'Allahu Akbar' and the crowd began to gather around them.

Two Arabs managed to flee while the third was assaulted with sticks and chairs. He collapsed to the ground but they continued to attack him while he was pleading for his life. Shouts of 'death to Arabs' and "Netanya mows down Arabs', were thrown at him.

During the confusion a woman was almost attacked as well. Only after she shouted back, "I'm Jewish, I'm Jewish," did they leave her alone.

A group of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes in the al-Ras and al-Jaabari neighborhoods, throwing rocks and shouting slogans against Arabs and Palestinians, locals said.

In the neighboring city of Yatta, a group of Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian home earlier on Friday, smashing property around the home.

Naim Nasser al-Azazmeh said that the group attacked his home with rocks under the armed security of Israeli forces, destroying his water tanks, solar panels, a tent, and windows of the house.

The mayor of Yatta visited the area and condemned the settlers’ assault later in the day and said that he Yatta municipality would provide aid for the family.

Israeli settlers throughout the West Bank and East Jerusalem have continued to carry out violent reprisals since two settlers were shot dead near Nablus on Oct. 1.

The attacks have left Palestinian locals on guard as the Palestinian Authority has no jurisdiction over the settlers and Israeli forces rarely intervene to protect Palestinians being attacked.

Hundreds of right-wing Israelis marched in Jerusalem on Thursday night shouting "Death to Arabs" and attempted to cross into Palestinian neighborhoods, according to Israeli media.

Such unnecessary hatred and enmity. :(

GOOD on whoever did that execution!

Not history, THE PRESENT. The CURRENT SITUATION is intolerable for the Palestinians and they will continue to find it intolerable until they also have a land they can say to everyone that they're part of, and not have everyone jump down their throat for daring to breathe. They need it as much as everyone, even the Israelis, does.

Then thereafter they will continue and attempt to ANNIHILATE Israel and you will still be here to defend their actions again!

So I was right about your agenda. Admit that at least! You have yet to denounce the current wave of terror and rather gave justification for it. Are you muslim?

Has his home been demolished already ?

Bull****. And frankly Israel has no right to complain while they prevent another nation-state from forming. They're preventing the same thing that they're objecting to when they criticise the Palestinians for wanting to see the end of the State of Israel.

I'm ignostic. And of caucasian decent if that's supposed to matter, with blue eyes, dark blonde hair and a ginger beard. Maybe you should try the closet neo-nazi approach, at least I fit the racial stereotype.

My agenda is to teach all the stupid little ****s on the planet that they don't get to tell all the other stupid little ****s on the planet how to behave without the other ****s on the planet getting to say the same kind of thing about their behaviour. I'm sick and tired of the arbitrary lines in the sand which people insist on having pissing contests over when the simple fact of the matter is that there's enough space for everyone to live peacefully. Peace only occurs when you give space for the opposition to behave in a manner that allows them to recognise your right to exist, too. If your existence neccessitates their non-existence, your argument is going to provoke violence in them. If you want peace, learn this lesson. If you want to suffer from endless pointless violence, throw the lesson in the garbage. The choice is yours (and everyone's).

Thank you. It's non't it be noted that Israel has never recognised Palestine, for instance the Likud party, which has it's roots in Herut, if you look at their charter they openly talk about conquering the West Bank and the East Bank of the Jordan river (currently Jordan). In other words they open call for the annihilation of Palestine.

Yep your agenda is now clear so i was right from the onset you entered the thread with an ulterior agenda. Thanks for the honesty. Can we now get back on topic. I think your Ukraine thread is calling!

Why not start your own thread to spread your lesson to all the world citizens out there?
