Ongoing Palestinian terror attacks against Israel.

3rd intifada? do you think its about to kick off?
or a big showdown with iran?

Just an recap on where everyone stands with this. If there is a full blown war like Marine1 talks about, it will be messy.

Israeli canine unit finds pipe bomb

Police canine locate suspicious package that encased explosive device; sappers neutralize pipe bomb.

Police said they foiled a possible terror attack after detecting an explosive device at a checkpoint to east Jerusalem's Issawiya neighborhood, adjacent to the Hebrew University on Mount Scopus.

During operational sweeps of the capital, a police canine unit arrived to Issawiya and located the suspicious package that encased a pipe bomb.

Police sappers were called to the scene to neutralize the explosive device after confirming the nature of the object.

Did you really think Salman Rushdie would say that?

Well its pretty actual

I think it's time to post this image:

And the rest of the Islamic countries? You think its not them making or sponsoring the trouble?

Yes and maybe this time the gloves need to come off. Maybe its time for Israel to unleash her military force?
When will enough be enough with he Arabs?

One thing for sure, war is coming

I don't think even another war is going to solve the Middle East's problems. :(

Since October 1, 35 Palestinians have been killed in shootings and clashes with Israeli forces in the occupied Palestinian territories and Israel , while seven Israelis have been killed in knife and gun attacks.

Rights groups have warned that Israel is using excessive force against Palestinians and that some of the incidents amounted to extrajudicial killings.

there they go again - "Well more hamarse/palestinians have been killed so bad Israel" ......... if you are going to very stupidly attack people with a knife and fail, don't be surprised when they kill your ass in the process. Bloody hell, it's like these idiots will keep nipping and nipping and nipping and then when their body count is nice and high or Israel says stuffit, I'm gonna flatten you again, they can jump back and cry victim and get stupid people support all over again.

nope
nor is this round of violence against Israelis going to achieve much:(

I am fully in favour of letting them go at each other unabated without outside interference. May the best faith win.

If you truly believe Isreal is a victim of Palestine you really need to educate yourself. (And try not to look at religion and actually try focus on what you see happening to PEOPLE on both sides)

What it is like living as an Isreal (and dealing with the constant "terror" of Palestine):

I truly don't understand how anyone can think the Isreal is justified here.
They restrict the movement of people in Palestine (You can't leave without the authority of Isreal)
They constantly take more territory in Palestine and open compounds in the middle of Palestine with radical jews then complain that they are under attack (It is madness).
Isreal says the face attacks and terror but they live in posh houses with 1st world country conditions, happy and stress free while people in Palestine have their houses bombed and people actually killed left and right.

Saying you are facing terror attacks doesn't make it true. I think that is what makes it so easy for people to buy into Isreal's BS. They make a lot of claims but really it is hectic how good their lives are and how horrible it is in Palestine.

I seriously used to believe Palenstin is full of it, mostly because people brought religion into it. I hate religion.
But when you actually ignore the religious bits it very quickly becomes clear Isreal is systematically killing and oppressing people in Palestine.

Both sides have religiously indoctrinated crazies (both sides is filled with extremists). But what Isreal is doing is definitely not ok.

Back in the day when we fought the apartheid Regime with bricks against their guns the closed minded South African had a similar stance

I think you are in desperate need of this education you speak of.
You show pictures of Gaza after a conflict where Hamas fired thousands of rockets against Israel in order to show what life is in palestine, really?

Why not show life in the Brand new massive Palestinian development of Rawabi - yeah show how the Palestinians are living there, or does that not suit your agenda?

Yes, a person who doesn't have an agenda can look at both sides and still see the suffering of one side vs the other.

I understand why they fire those rockets. They are in a state where they cannot move freely. Would you not fight in such a situation?

That said, not everyone supports Hamas! Some people just want to live there. They still get bombed tho.

So if, during apartheid some of black people lived a good life, that made the system ok?

Your life in Palestine is at the mercy of Isreal. They open compounds at their own will. If you want to go on holiday or publish an article or go visit your family in another country you need to ask Isreal for permission.

It isn't about single cases. It is about a system where one side cries terror and fear, yet none of them seem to suffer at all.
While the other side you see people getting killed and bombed and actually living horrible lives.

My only agenda is freedom. Isreal can be a great place, but not as a secular state. Just like SA is a great place but not as an Apartheid state.

so here is an obscure thought.

it would appear both the israeli's and palestinians are victims of their respective political masters.
it would appear the residents of both sides would actually prefer to be left alone and live in peace.

lets assume both the palestinians & israeli's (the people) decided to allow a neutral foreign interim govt to rule the area for a set period - lets assume 5 yrs for discussion purposes.
both the palestinian & israeli leadership were dissolved in favour of this interim government.
the interim government removed all illegal settler structures and returned the occupied land to the original palestinians.
all security, both internal and external becomes the responsibility of the interim government.

a buffer zone straddling both israeli and palestinian land is created.
this zone (perhaps a tax free type set-up) will include industrial and commercial enterprises & provide both employment and housing opportunities via a random selection process to ensure equal assess and thus integration of both communities.

that then leaves the question of the temple mount site.
only muslims have access on fridays
only jews have access on saturdays
only christians have access on sundays
during the week, all places of worship are closed, but the site itself is accessible to all.

at the end of the 5yr period elections are held - however palestinians are allowed to vote in terms of israeli leadership, and israeli's allowed to vote for palestinian leadership, thereby allowing a "cross pollination" of interests.

could something like this be workable ?

My only agenda is freedom. Isreal can be a great place, but not as a secular state. Just like SA is a great place but not as an Apartheid state.

Israel is a fantastic place and unlike the old SA, it doesn't practice apartheid. It has to deal with ongoing violence since it was established. It has done very well against all odds.

Until some chop with a rocket fires it in to Gaza, setting off the chain of events that we are seeing now and have seen countless times before.
