Honest question: is the public psychoanalysis of strangers ethical?
Seems to me that you're taking on responsibility that you probably can't commit to.

True. I love you like my retarded cousin.we strangers now ?
everyone here is family
Fair enough. I assume you would have covered ethics at this stage of your degree so I'll defer to your judgment. I was just curious.Hi Nick, thank you for your question. As previously mentioned this is for research purposes in the effort to identify the sources of psychological issues that some people experience and to create a relevant intervention that may aid such people in the future. Hence, why the questions that are being asked are at the discretion of the individual and therefore, do not have to be answered if they do not wish to do so publicly, anonymously or otherwise. None of the questions are aimed at counselling on this platform or anywhere else but are crucial to understanding what people experience and how that influences them in their daily lives. Therefore, any insight that is given is valuable no matter how vague or brief.

Ja, that's my feeling too.Drawing people out publicly by asking leading questions does not strike me as ethical...
Every student and health professional must abide by a strict set of ethical guidelines to ensure that the participants are not harmed. As this is an informal and open forum, all of the questions are only for the benefit of research process and are not intended to treat or diagnose. However, these questions are also useful in determining what the present needs of the community are.
