Hi guys
Just to let you know. It's been a nightmare with Openweb so far legally just to get any information. They refuse to allow us access to anyone telephonically and refused to provide an address to deliver summons, they just say email ceo@openweb.co.za but no one ever replies on it.
If anyone knows the address let me know or i 'll instruct my legal team to go find it themselves at their own cost.
Thanks guys.
The Cipro registering was quite a laugh. OpenISP put the telephone number down of their accountants. So when i called i got put through and another Director Athol or someone will call me back apparently.
This becomes more hilarious the more i dig into it. Still waiting on legal from IS to see what i am allowed to get information wise. Case number from the police still outstanding as they didnt understand it.............
Anyone else been unable to access http://userstats.adsl.saix.net/ for the past couple of days?
Yes.
Wasn't this addressed in the article from OW? Ie. they restricted access to it..?

They restricted access to the IS portal in that the portal worked but one could no longer log in with @openweb accounts. Whether it's every account I'm not sure, but no one on this forum could log in after they did it.
SAIX still seems to work for most @openweb accounts. This is more an issue of SAIX/SAIX portal being down since it doesn't load, nothing to do with OpenWeb.
Blocking access to http://users.isdsl.net/
Some Openweb clients reported that they would like to access http://users.isdsl.net/ but that it is blocked. Wrights’ response is below:
Users wishing to activate usage stats on their accounts must contact admin@openweb.co.za or request this via the control panel.
2 years ago we made a decision to not actively monitor usage stats on our uncapped accounts by default after some ISPs started throttling their users after a certain amount of GB’s used.
We then setup our radius and network accordingly. Many of our clients prefer us not to know how much they have used. However, due to client demand most of the new accounts purchased have usage stats activated by default.
Due to the latter, we advise clients to view their usage stats only from the OpenWeb control panel.
Many users have also published stats from http://userstats.adsl.saix.net/.
We do not purchase capacity from SAIX. Based on our research, some account stats are accurate, others are inaccurate. Some clients cannot login with their ADSL username and password into this resource, others can login and no data is displayed.
For this reason, we cannot endorse any information displayed on any third party usage monitoring tool. If clients would like to view their usage stats, and the facility is not available on their control panel, they can request for this feature to be activated.
can't even load the website using international IP. :erm:
http://userstats.adsl.saix.net/ down for everyone (as stated above) as there are complaints on the telkom thread too.

No its OW blocking people. :erm:
They still blocking the IS portal, and that's just wrong!
I can browse to it?

You can login/load your stats?
Not on my new account, on my gamer "king" account i could. This was one of the requests i put to them yesterday.
That being said, i can view my stats via my client panel on their website. And it correlates with the usage on my firewall.
That only shows stats, not ESR's?
Agreed, apparently they launching that mid July. But i am going to try your suggestion that we spoke about yesterday.
