Not on my new account, on my gamer "king" account i could. This was one of the requests i put to them yesterday.

That being said, i can view my stats via my client panel on their website. And it correlates with the usage on my firewall.

Correct me if I am wrong, but that must have then been the time before they blocked @openweb logins?

Will be interesting if they allow it on your account, but I think they will tell you that if you want logging, you must use their own client panel for it.

Of course, your stats and your router's would correlate with what the IS portal would've shown. :p Maybe try the SAIX one, once it's up and with the same abilities (goodness willing).

Hi yes, an update from my side.

2 weeks ago i put my complaint in writing to OW, spoke with Athol who is the AJ person in OW. Seems like a reasonable person but i was threatened with "we'll expose you for downloading content" etc etc. Still busy with IS legal and the matter is sub judice in that regard.

I think i can work with with Athol i just seem to struggle to get him to see my side of the story, OW dont seem to realize how the law works, it isnt all black and white it's more around what a reasonable person would interpret and expect, tried so hard to reason but ja................i'm putting together an email for Athol so he has my gripes in writing and taking it from there so doing things in paralell.

very happy with www.connection.co.za as i download between 11pm and 6am and sit @ 3 stars all month.

bit of a *****ing ball ache to be honest but i feel the broadband community needs to be protected from this type of abuse by an ISP.

I only use IS, if they give me a SAIX account i would have cancelled immediately.

According to them they can't because of some "we manage it" bull****. So you are correct in your assumption. That in essence is the reason i have cancelled. If i can get access via users.isdsl.net i would stay.

mmmm - This could have bigger implications for everyone in SA.
Should start a thread and keep it updated if not already done so .....

Agreed. The 'all over the placeness' of these discussions makes it harder to convince those who need it most. You know, those neutral types who think they are being impartial. That us OpenWeb detractors don't have a strong and factual case.

Why? You only wake up now and started to realize that ISPs log what you do?

Ok.. so about a year ago i signed up to Openwebs uncapped special Lovemore accounts. It has run flawlessly until the last month or so where its been beyond pathetic. It's like i'm consistently shaped at all times of the day. I mean today is a public holiday where speeds should be way better than a normal working day but my torrent downloads are going at 10kb/s and my browsing is almost useless, get timed out to half the pages. Please look into this Openweb or i'll simply need to move my ADSL isp to another service provider. I will not tolerate paying for a service that is useless. Kind Regards - account name : JB571

If you have issues with your account you should mail them at support@openweb,co,za. There is no "*active" Openweb representatives anymore. They bailed after they "acknowledged" that they shared accounts.

* They still frequent the thread under aliases to see what is happening here.

It's not only email, clients have been getting pathetic replies for years. A good example of it here, which I stumbled upon the other day. :D

You are not attuned to OW.

Mr Beep i have a new customer for you. His name is Greg Mkhize and his cell number is 0834310182. I think he has already spoken to your sales guys. He is on his notice period with Telkom and is moving over to OW.
