A latency of 400ms is not normal no matter which account you are on.

Please PM me a tracert to the game server and your details so that I can test it out for you

Confirmation on this would be cool. CSGO at 400ms ping isnt too fun.........................

Just generally all CS games in matchmaking. I set max ping to 200ms, I join and see 340-400.
Tracerts to bbc.co.uk are under 170ms however. I'll test it this evening

Mmmm, that is a strange one.

When ready, drop me a PM so that we can troubleshoot together.

We are currently experiencing issues in the East (KZN and surrounds).

Engineers are investigating the root cause, and are addressing the issue currently.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

What is the status on this fault please? My internet connection is now pretty much useless. Switch the router off & on and it's fine for a few seconds then it grinds to a halt... :(

Cableguy, I'm sure you are aware that a large percentage of your uncapped customers are experiencing little or no internet access during weekdays from 8am till 5 pm. Is OpenWeb willing to acknowledge this problem? What is the problem? When will it be rectified?

This was resolved about an hour later. Sorry, I should have updated the thread.

Kindly PM me so that I can test your account. The entire network is currently completely unshaped

Kindly PM me your ADSL username and further details of your problem.

I will investigate for you.

As the forum only represents less than 5% of OpenWeb clients, I do not believe that a 'large percentage' of our clients are experiencing an identical problem. Of the queries resolved today, only 2 were similar in nature. The others were related to Telkom, general fault and hardware.

Recently changed from OW to AH. Best move I've ever made. Even though I'm only able to get decent p2p speeds late at night, everything else works 100% during the day. I'm even still using the same username I signed up with :)

On Titan 4mb uncapped

Local web pages: no problems but slower than normal
Int pages: not loading and timeouts
NNTP: running no more the 2.2mb with frequent bottom out to less than 1mb
Vid/Aud streaming: non-existent

...and on a public holiday

4Mb/s shaped downloads on a perfectly functioning 10Mb/s line on a public holiday.

As with the others users above me.... WTF?

Edit: going to email support now, guaranteed the response is "try this other account" and problem will be solved. this is getting very very very tedious.

True, how come the allocated account doesn't work correctly but "the other account" does. Makes no sense. Already had this done twice...
