Openweb and complete disregard for customer service.

How pathetic of all these Openweb fans to equate customer service with good manners from a complainant. Obviously kids.
It's the customers right to be as rude as he wants as long as he is paying for a service. No contract in the world has a clause that says you have to be well-mannered to get service. Typical South African japies.

lol this could actually make a very good conspiracy theory.

That the Keoma or MrBeep that we think the CEO is, are actually different people responding as him. :erm:

Ye exactly, I think it's beyond a theory at this point though.

Most of the disjointedness of the communications was because suddenly someone was replying AS Keoma and referring to an earlier email I'd had FROM Keoma and calling the person Dane.

This is when I realised multiple consultants are clearly using the same signature - there is no other explanation I can think of. Unless there's a Dane Keoma Wright, which then begs the question who is the second person referring back?

Also, I thought for all these years Keoma was a girl
that's my hilarious fail tho!

Keoma can be quite outspoken at times and is prone to rant a bit and he has done so in the past..

I think he's pretty passionate about what he does and the service he provides and takes criticism way to personally which is not all together unexpected. We all know the time and effort he puts into making Openweb a success. Hell there's a 350+ page thread as testimonial to Keoma and Openwebs dedication to customer service.

Having said that he probably should have handled this account a little differently.

But that's Keoma, he can be a bit belligerent at times...

I dunno, I've had nothing but stellar service from them so far. Even when I bitched and moaned like crazy, MrBeep was always willing to help and did so very fast and efficiently.

Back to your sandbox you belligerent abrasive child. Your posts tend to draw you as argumentative for the sake of argument. Which for future reference, whenever somebody trolls a thread purely to bait people it should be called pulling a matshelane

Yes, just as no company should have to stand for verbal abuse at the hands of a customer. If a customer is 'as rude as he wants', I'd tell him I'm cancelling his account and that he should move to another ISP that will take his abuse. A company and its employees aren't robots. Nobody will blame the company for getting rid of a childish customer, and it's bull**** to expect a company to just tough it out with a rubbish customer.

I absolutely agree and that's why I try to stay unemotional in my dealings with all suppliers and service providers.

I do think I restrained myself quite a bit in my responses?

I don't mind you pointing out where I was rude and full of bull**** though - in case I'm missing my own belligerence?

I'm definitely not above admitting i'm wrong if I clearly am?

Well, we all thought you were a guy so....

EDIT: How's your line been since btw? Have you found a new ISP?

The line itself operates perfectly when I log in with my flatmate's webafrica account. As for the remainder of my openweb account till the end of July (as they've cancelled me) it's barely operational. Everyone seems to be saying to go with Mweb, am intrigued by Nexus and Gamco though too.

Do you guys have any preferences I can look into - we had the R539 p/m 4mb uncapped package with Openweb?

@ matshelane you telling me a drunken yob in a busy family restaurant has the right to get up and hurl abuse at a waitress taking too long to bring him his next beer??!!

There is an appropriate way to address a service provider even in the event of sub standard service. Not implying that this isn't the case here but this notion that a paying customer can basically behave in any matter fitting is outdated and uncivilized...

No, I didn't see anything rude in your correspondance with OpenWeb. Not from your side at least. My reply to matshelane was more a general reply to the fact that people are often under the impression that they can treat a company and it's employees like dirt simply because they're paying customers.

@sandmanm34

I defo think it's a two-way street. I'd hate it if my client's were douchebags to me every time something went wrong (and wow some of them really are).

But I think the difference is I'd never try to use their attitude (no matter how difficult) as an excuse for a mistake or a ball-dropped on my side.

Edit: as for the past four years I will openly admit I was happy - I think that's also why I've reacted so violently to the way I was treated, out of shock that a trusted service provider was suddenly acting SO irrationally and haphazardly. I really didn't understand what was going on and noone seemed to be able to assist me either. The more i was trying to get the info, the more rude they were being. I was definately pissed though, so that's why i'm open to criticisms of how it was handled on my part.

Agreed, Openweb have erred. But to err is human, to forgive is devine...

Librarian BRING ME MY SHIRT!!!! :D

My only gripe with MYBB is the occasional exposure to matshelanetism.Personally I am all mateshelane'd out:whistle:

Well, perhaps Keoma might come on here and offer his side of the story together with some sort of amicable solution for all...

You want to see a company who is dropping the ball have a look at MWEB. The net result is a plethora of subscribers dumping them for Openweb. I suspect Keoma and his limited resources are under the cosh!! Not making excuses... just saying...

Add to that the fact that all these ISP's are effectively in bed with the devil (Hellkom) and it's a pretty thankless profession... Not making excuses... just saying... :D

Simply ignore my comments if you don't like them. What are you ? A compulsive obsessive cretin ?
