OpenWeb and OpenBrowse

MrBEEP, if I were to buy Openbrowse would I be able to set some routes on my WRT54GL router so that all the PC's on my network would be able to use your proxy? The thought of having to install some third-party piece of software in order to use the Openbrowse proxy isn't very appealing.

I'm running Ubuntu & I've got an Ubuntu server running Squid. At the moment I have to proxy through a Windoze machine... Maybe you can assist me as well... Puleeze?
 
Hi MrBeep and co. I just phoned today as i wanted to order openweb, but then i realised that i needed it to run on more than 1 pc in my network, is this possible? and how do i achieve this?

Is there anything else that I should be aware of when ordering openweb?

Hey, I have my home PC and Netbook connected to the same Wireless ADSL router, both machine are running Openbrowse program at the sametime, no problem with accessing international via local account.

Takes up to 8 business hours to activate for Openbrowse related account.

Just check your email regularly for details, if you still don't get it within a reasonable amount of time, pm Mr.Beep.

Be warned, Please do not spend too much time infront of your computer, although you pay a little more than normal 30g local account but get the benefit of 30g International. :D

me and my bro have been experience very laggy or not responsive openbrowse over the past 48hrs. very annoying
 
I was put off openweb a while back by terrible service, them giving your account details to other people, and the irritating name mr beep. But at the beginning of this month I decided to try the openbrowse thing as I rarely need to download anything(and when I do I have int) but I need to browse a hell of a lot. So it worked great for the first couple days(went off every now and then). And I had more than one PC on my network going through it fine. Then the other day it just stopped. And since then I havent been able to get a single page through. I closed and opened the app and it said a message bout the MTN thing. But even today it still isnt working at all.
Nothing has changed on my pc. I havent changed the openbrowse setting.
So please mr [beep]er tell me what is wrong! I have the 384k.

Another thing, you say about the control panel(openweb land or some [beep]) that you can do anything...yet its not nearly as good looking or quick as webafricas or even Axxesses. Just a silly gripe.

So was it to much to expect that you guys have improved?
 
agreed roguemat. Every since the whole MTN thing its been rubbish with openbrowse. Got a 1gig axxess int from an engen

Right now openbrowse is still virtually useless, its literally slower than dial up .
 
Openbrowse is working *** at the moment but I wont complain cause I know it will be fixed soon ;)
