I just got this from Openweb, and thought I should share the love:

OpenWeb's Gold uncapped ADSL has certainly made news over the last month. With the 'devil' going down and throttling folks to non-existance, folks have realized that sometimes paying a little more is worth ones sanity.

Luckily, with our promotion on Gold uncapped, you can upgrade without breaking the Seacom cable!

Gold Uncapped has less people using one pipe, thus it is faster, less shaped and generally works better than Standard based account.

If i sign up for the 4Mbps Gold Uncapped @ R669 is the bonus added in for free where you get full line speed between 7pm and 7am.

Or is the Bonus another package all together ?
I see the after hours usualy has two types, one with a FUP @ R899 and the other with no FUP @ R1299.

All I want to know is this promotion @ R699 shaped in the day and after hours full line speed and no FUP ?

Yes dude I think the bonus is another separate package... The 4Mbps looks good.
Say what's the FUP for the 4Mbps Gold Uncapped?
 
4Mbps Gold does not have a FUP. Its not hidden, it simply does not have one.

P2P, torrents and similar is shaped, 24 / 7, but the connection is not throttled

Cool, then I take it as if there are no FUP's on any packages... HTTP (Rapidshare + Hotfile) should suffice.
To what degree is P2P shaped? e.g, one gets 200Kb/s all day (very well seeded torrent)?
 
P2P and similar is shaped, which includes Rapidshare and similar.

P2P is shaped according to how busy the network is. If you are a downloader, I would suggest you go for the After Hours Uncapped Unshaped special for R999.

Absolutely no limits on downloading, or any protocols, after hours and on weekends.

The After Hours times - specifically 19:00pm made me chuckle. HUH? I am pretty sure they mean 7pm ie 19:00
(not that I am needing that option but saw it and thought it was amusing)

In all fairness you really can't blame them for construction workers cutting cables.

How do I subscribe to your bonus special where you indicated the uncapped after hours is R999
the order page on your site still shows it @ R1299
 
cancelled my mweb and just joined up for the gold uncapped 384k

i realy hope its worth it, mweb was getting a bit bad with their shaping.

BTW does anyone know how soon i can expect my username and password from them ? i've sent through the fax today with debit order details so will i get it immediately or only after the debit order goes off ?

cant wait to start testing this product, heard wonderfull things about it and finally can afford to test it out.
 
Wait a second, i am paying R499 to Mweb for the 384kb uncapped unshaped account, so here i would pay R248?
