The laptop I'm using has Nod32, but it fails to update. The error I get is "Unable to connect to update server".

Are you capped? If so you wouldn't be able to update to the international mirrors.

Well even when i'm capped somehow i still get AVG updates through my IS account. I think it is locally cached by IS.

No I'm far away from being capped. It's last been updated a month ago, so I need to update it as soon as I can.
