Openweb Uncapped Feedback

I'm getting super slow speeds with my Openweb uncapped account, downloading on torrents is about 5kbs, downloading off FTP and HTTP is like 9kb/s. This is with a 4mb line, which works perfectly with my SAIX account.

Are you on Gold Uncapped or just standard uncapped?

Torrents are heavily shaped during the day. But if your http and FTP downloads are slow then it's just normal IS Rubbish. Thats why i switched to Gold. Just mail MrBEEP and see if he can sort out your hassles.

On the other hand, I kept my account with Openweb and just moved to another upstream provider, speed is much better compared to I/S. While the price remains the same.
 
Is it worth gettting The 4mb gold uncapped?
How is it compared to the standard?
 
Trust me, Gold is well worth it! I won't look back! Torrents and RS re still shaped, but much better than the IS uncapped! Actually MILES better!

Gotta disagree with you on the RS thing. The line speed is better than on IS, so during the day you get proper 4mb downloads when watching youtube etc. But RS is throttled heavily during the day and evening. Line speeds on pick up way after 12 at night, and even then it only runs at between 200Kbps and 250Kbps until 7AM. then speed drops down to 20Kbps.
 
512k just 2 slow :( got 4mb but too used to it by now. Bought myself the 512k gold uncapped to test it and getting around 40KB, but once your used to 400KB that just don't cut it anymore :(

Doubt they would refund me if I want to cancel the account?
Anyone interested in buying mine over for R300? :)
 
Downloading a torrent during the day using my MWeb account (direct with MWEB) average 34 kB/s.
Same torrent using Openweb Gold (Uncapped and Unshaped) average 12 kB/s.
Openweb "Unshaped" is Shaped?
384k line.

Look like it's not all of us. My speed was 38kB/s on a 384 line all morning long, which is what it reach at 01:00 usually.

Thanks all for allowing some of us to use your bandwidth.:D
 
Where can I find information on OW Gold 4096? I want information on:

Ports/sites/services that are shaped.
When they are shaped.
What times (fi any) the line is throttled speed wise etc;

Can't seem to get that from OW's website, infact there's such little information on their products.
