How does one know if they are in the 20% or 80%?
It is chrome straight downloading no manager running in the background. Only use fdm for downstorm.
I sent a mail when I felt that my download speed was very low. Got told then that I was in the 20%. Don't know of a way to see on their site that your being throttled.
I'm with the VB backbone and was never informed of those conditions aswell as never signed or agreed on them when signing with OWSo that better not be the case.

+1, subscribed to the uncapped after hours package at R899-00, far better product but also not delivering as promised. Not seeing full line speed as often as I thought. In fact it's a rarity. Getting 400kBps but my line is rated to 900+kBps...Severely disappointed in the gold lately - getting average of 80kb/s on nzb's. And I have barely downloaded anything this month. Last month I pulled about 200gigs though.
It's line speed related so yeah, if your line has been upgraded to 10meg then it should reach those speeds and it has but not consistently...Is it an 10meg acount?
VB is doing 50kb/s at the moment.

It's very similiar to the Axxess 384+ offering but it differs in that there is no rolling threshold during office hours, although it is already running at around 256kbps during office hours. Then after hours is denoted as 7pm-7am and Friday 7pm to Monday morning 7am where Axxess is from 8pm-8am. I like the hour earlier that the OW equivalent kicks in each evening... OW product comes with a 200gig AUP with shaping kicking in once 200gigs has been reached. Apparently Axxess do the same although looking at their Top 10 users list I'm not convinced...
