Ouch!

Well, I'll give you this much, you've made me feel a helluva lot more fortunate :D

Any idea what your line stats are? That latency is pretty heavy :o

hahaha...i don't even know what latency is......tell me how to find line stats and i will let you know wha they are....:o:)

for some reason my e-mails to Mr.Beep are being returned.....the e-mail address i have always used to contact him isn't working today

Maybe the inbox is full and he took a few hours to attend to his real family - went for a movie or gone to grap a bite to eat. He is only human and also needs a time-out to relax.

Well mine appears to be back to normal, it can still go a bit higher, but I'm satisfied with this:

:)

Nice! I seem to have missed that window of opportunity. Unfortunately mine hasn't changed... If I had to just hazard a guess I would say that I'm on an account that is being throttled to 384 speeds, but that's unlikely, right?

Glad your issue has at least been resolved.

PS: This was my l33t (l337) post :D
Snazzy :D Congrats!

Well, you should be able to log into your router by typing 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1/10.0.0.2 (I forget which on those old Telkom routers) in your browser and using the username and password for your router--should be written somewhere on your router, usually underneath. Then it's just a matter of finding the Diagnostics or Router Status section and finding the bit with the SNR/Noise Margin/Attenuation and those would be the interesting stats :p

thks i know exactly what you mean and will do it later as i am downloading at the moment.....

I get between 460-465 KB/s

Then, my dear friend, you don't have a problem!

/sulks alone

You'd be able to notice quite easily, even just by browsing, if your speeds on this account were the same as mine :p

I wonder if I just got a dud account? Hope MrBEEP can help. Like I said, it definitely seems like this account is being throttled.

Hey Lyncanthrope,

I believe I am at fault here. I gave you a 512k account!! I am sorry!

I just emailed you a proper account. It was incorrectly marked on the database.

Please provide feedback once you have moved over.

Sally - please email me: [email protected] You should be using @openwebturbo.co.za as this is where you are assigned. You are using a guest account currently, that is why your speeds are slow.

LOL!

Oh, wow :D

You're about to get an e-mail full of l33t troubleshooting from me :o I only saw your post after sending it :o

Thanks so much, MrBEEP! It's not a problem. I'm just glad it's sorted

Much appreciation here and thanks so much for your help through all this. You're the only person I know who would be so helpful.

It really means the world to me. Thanks so much again :D

My connection stopped working at 12 last night, 4Meg Gold. :( Anybody else having problems?
