Still going strong on my VB 4MB Gold uncapped - just downloaded a 1GB file in 30 mins.Don't mean to rub it in but from reading the comments above it certainly justifies my paying that little extra to get a solid performing account. Thanks Keoma!

Hello Graal,

Kindly email me: [email protected] Please include your MyADSL nickname. I would like to investigate your fault.

Qrox, I have emailed you.

Seems strange that he would just up and vanish for 7 days, especially seeing as he's normally very active in this thread.

I stand to be corrected, but most of us are on Gold uncapped accounts to.

Im also still having problems on 4m gold uncapped. Currently I am on the VB backbone. I can't stream videos and http downloads are very slow. Speedtest still show 384k line speeds instead of 4m. I tested with another account (axxess) and get 3.5m. Only thing that performs relatively well is news server downloads that averages at about 250kb/s. Im at a loss as what the problem could be. I already had telkom test my line and reset ports. I aslo installed a new router. The line sincs fine too.
SNR Margin: 25.0 12.0 db
Line Attenuation: 14.0 7.0db
Data Rate: 4096 512 kbps

Anyone got any ideas?

Hey All...

Mine is fine again... actually has been since the last report I did about my account nose-diving... it died for about 15 minutes then recovered OK.

I have no real issues with my BCS backbone, apart from the rare nose-dive / death and temperamental TeamViewer sessions... toying with emailing MR BEEP and seeing what the other backbones are like.

Mine is a lowly little 384 account, so every little bit of improvement is total happy happy joy joy.

Was referring to the issues the standard uncapped users seem to be having. What Gold backbone are you on?

IS, this backbone seems to fit well for my P2P and local gaming servers and also http traffic.

I have already mailed Keoma about it. I was on the IS backbone and it was running really great untill last friday when suddenly speeds dropped to 40kb/s.

How on earth did you download 1GB in 30 mins? How fast does your 4MB line go? :D

Dude. You want to use Teamviewer on a 384 line? 128k upload? Upgrade to 1Mb/s.

Hey, it works without any problems on my 384... has for the past 2 years... it does what it is supposed to do... only 2 people I connect to are not 384k in any case. OpenWeb and TeamViewer sometimes are pffftttt... but it has improved and been OK for now.

Maybe upgrade a little later... for now 384 it is.

Just to update, MrBeep helped me with my issues and moved me to the IS backbone. Virtually no jitter and very low latencies.

As I said to MrBeep via email, I'm very impressed with the response time and quality of service received. I apologize for and retract the statements I made earlier in my frustration. It seems OpenWeb does go the extra mile to help their customers.
