Openweb just needs it's own undersee cable, problem solved.
 
I had horrible peak-time performance earlier this week (unable to open most websites), but off-peak the speed was fantastic. So I switched backbones (from IS to VB) and now I have the exact opposite: peak web traffic was great (wed-fri), but my off-peak is pathetic (peaking at about 20kb/s now). So now I need to switch again and hope that I can still have working internet during the daytime...

This is on a 1MBps GOLD Uncapped PLUS (which is not feeling very gold, nor very plus) :(

I have a good line speed locally but international speeds are none existing, is this ISP or is there a problem with the Internationale connection? Mine line is a 1mb line

Was fine till about 11:25

Local:
Download Speed: 737 kbps (92.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 429 kbps (53.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 38 ms

International:
Download Speed: 147 kbps (18.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 321 kbps (40.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 218 ms

I just switched to openweb . Speed was awesome in September but in October, nadda. I opened a trouble ticket, but no response yet.

I am cancelling my account.
 
My speeds are fine normally was this whole week, but international has a problem today, not sure if its ISP or our international connection problem.

Same here...not even getting past 1MB on a supposed 10MB account. This is crap, paying R899.00 for this ****? :mad:
 
Same here 384 Uncapped no International.
on a dsl-bcsnet account.
 
Just FYI. I gather from a contact that the Seacom cable is down somewhere over the Med [I think] (don't quote me though as I am just going on info I have, that being said ... it is 100% reliable).
 
Im also having issues, nothing seems to work except local pages. But my axxess and afrihost seems to work?
 
Thanks for sorting out my problem Mr Beep. Downloads is super-fast again 390kb/s constant.
