OpenWeb's Excellent service

Openweb kicks ass. No hassles when it comes to getting an extra local 30gigs for one month and then cancelling again. No long term contracts and all that s h i t e. I will support them until the day I can find something cheaper somewhere else.

and so the isp's of our lives continues...

i ordered their service based on this thread last night and was promised my login details by the end of the day. Well, I am still waiting for them. Support is only from 8 untill 16h30 in the afternoon. Must say I am a bit worried choosing them.......

Accounts are processed until 19:00 daily, and email support is till late in the evenings.

If this is whom I think it is, you have mail.

You are going to be one of those very difficult client, no one likes to help...I got my Openweb account 3days ago and it was super fast (within 12hours considering I ordered it the night before)

They are SUPER COOL!

I've been with Openweb a couple of months now, and have recieved only good service from them. I've always recieved my accounts logins/passes within 1-4hours of sending them the proof of payment.

I use at least 2-3 accounts a month.

They really try and make lekker accounts for us folks that need Local only or cheap 2gig international/30gig local accounts.

I've even playd gaming on these accounts and i've never had problems with them. My pings seem nice :>

Big'up Mrbeep :>
Keep up the good work

Man I also just gotta add a + for openweb's service

MrBEEP is the friendliest guy in the universe and always willing to help

THANX openweb

I can no longer read this type of bs and tolerate it.

When I first got my ADSL line, openweb was recommended to me. Ordered my acc. but couldn't connect.
Tried to work it out all night got frustrated and left it. The next day I called openweb and told them of my prob & that I only got home at 17:30. Whoever it was (I don't remember the name) said that they would call me back at about 18:30 and assist me. That person then spent aprox. 45 min on the phone with me, a complete noob (their call), until we ascertained that it was a telkom prob. As far as I'm concerned that was after hours support.

The next day he called me again to make sure all was correct.

They are inovative, helpful & a pleasure to do business with.

If it was you Equinox, you're a friendly guy. :)

Eish, but that awful "yeah push those buttons" on the automated answering telephone system. Guys, please. None of you sound like 'sexy operators' to me. The chicks maybe but not me.:D

Edit: The other thing I like about openweb is that since then their service has been so great, I haven't need support.

I got my ADSL line in July this year and decided to go with Openweb based on their openess and honesty in this forum.

Once or twice I've had minor issues with the service, but they always went out of their way to sort it out.

And even when I payed late the one month (completely my own fault), I had my new login details at 3am on the 1st of that month.

Well done Openweb, I'm a happy client!

For the dude ***ing in his pants for after hours support....email them or PM MrBEEP.....u WILL get a response

Well Ive done everything DURING office hours and after 24 hours I STILL dont have my account details. Even after I phoned to confirm my proof of payment this morning. Im not happy about it. The last time I got great service from Openweb, but this time Im not really impressed at all.

Hi Style,

You have a PM. I have tried to trace your payment myself but need a few more details from you.

I agree that after 24 hours you have the right to be unhappy, but I have personally combed through every email that came through in the last 2 days and all users who sent their proof through have been sent their login details.

I hope we can find out where the problem is and fix it. In the meanwhile, I have PM-ed you the details of a free account you can use until your details come through.

Why does everyone have to moan about the service of any ISP. So some ISP's service is cr@p, but I was sitting in that office and a client called in very friendly asked for assistance, I would out of my way to help them.

Openweb service is GREAT!!!

Just registered with the forum to contribute my praises for OpenWeb.

a) Telkom comes to install my ADSL a mere two weeks after I ordered it.

b) Waited for Telkom to cal me to say that everything had been verified (everything else cancelled, now on Closer 4 Plan). They promised to call. Days later, nothing.

c) Signed up with OpenWeb.

d) Got tired of waiting for Telkom. Phoned them. It takes them a second to tell me I've been switched to the Closer 4 Plan but they can't be bothered to phone me because...?

e) Got home and test the Telkom guest account once again before I try anything else (like set my OpenWeb ISP details). Wow. The PPPLink light is no longer operational. Needless to say, moaned at Telkom ADSL support.

f) Called OpenWeb support the next day and tell them of my sob story. OpenWeb offers to cancel my limited offer request so my money would not be wasted.

g) Telkom phones me on several occassions, eager to tell me that they are looking into the matter. The problem eventualy resolves itself. I take the trouble to call Telkom ADSL support who don't seem to know anything about it having been fixed. Imaginery, magical creatures are away at work fixing our communications, ladies and gentlemen! (But thanks for trying anyway, Telkom).

h) I e-mail MrBeep again and ask him if it's possible to cancel my cancellation. Not only does he arrange it for me, but MrBeep also offers to extend the duration of the special by a day.

So yes, thank you very much to OpenWeb. Not only is your service great, but you have been extremely fair and understanding.
