Right - that's my cue as well ...

I remember you pasting an eamil address - but I can't find it :/ Point me in the right direction?

well they told me today and well it's gone and I am still sitting with my RROD POS... so do they drop off replacement same time as they pick up RROD POS.

NEW PLUG?

and thats not the worst of it. Just plugged it in and immediately noticed something funny. During the xbox vid when you boot the console the audio went off half way through. Now all of my games have a pause in the audio every 5sec!

My original xbox 360 was a mid 2008 model.

I eventually received my 2nd replacement console as the 1st replacement(late 2007 model) was giving random audio problems as above and the fact that it was way older than my 2008.

Today I was horrified to see that my 2nd replacement is a even earlier model that the 1st replacement! When I got home I noticed that this 'new' mid 2007 console has a differant power connector to my other ones? It has a plastic thing in the middle which doesnt fit with my power cord.

Could teh new one be a jasper in an old Zephers frock?

did you just call em back and say you want a replacement? Did you have to do the paper work stuff again?

My Xbox has a barely working DVD drive, but hasn't RROD yet and was bought more than 2 years ago.

Would this mean that I have to pay to get it fixed or exchanged?

Has the stock situation been sorted yet, or should I wait before bothering with the paperwork?

Yes. Just keep your HDD and cables and hand over the console for a new one.

I was phoned today and told to expect the replacement for my son's RROD Xbox 360 by Wed next week. They will drop off the replacement and pick up the old one. Interestingly they have required no proof of the RROD fault - make of that what you will, those with "other" issues LOL!

You are lucky man, must be a case of a new broom sweeping clean. :D

you are kidding me?

I got a mail from Bernice saying they're still packing stock and will dispatch next week

I phoned and they told me that they have some problem with the power units of the batch. They can't tell me when it will be sorted out or dispatched
