Ordering From Amazon.com Affordable in SA?

Considering it was an international import, it was almost certainly grey. There's some bit of blah on their terms and conditions that states that the warrantee is what their supplier offered, which raru wasted no time in pointing out but they've never lied, they just omitted any mention of a warrantee. I should have not have assumed so I just have to cop for it. It was my fault for assuming the warrantee was what Amazon (and Nvidia) said it was

The irony for me was that Amazon would have shipped it, no problem. I chose raru for the "peace of mind" of having a local contact. Silly me.

So all in all, for me, if Amazon will ship it, go with them. I've ordered lots of stuff off them and support has always been 1st class, they even replaced my Kindle when my son sat on it.

Actually, selectively quoted,

In Warranty Problems - For all products with Warranties their Warranty Period is displayed on the site. Should there be a problem with an item, within the warranty period, we will assist you to have the product evaluation and exchanged or repaired if required. The exact procedure will differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some manufacturers have service centers who handle all their warranty issues for them. For these manufacturers you will need to liaise directly with the service center, although we'll provide every assistance possible.

They and their agents, according to them are solely responsible for warranties. Yes, the purchase contract is between you and the vendor, but the manufacturer attaches an after-sale guarantee over and above that of the purchase contract in terms thereof as I have previously said. However, in Raru's defence, I must admit that on checking myself, NVidia's warranty is only valid within the United States and Canada, and may vary from state to state.

For notice, prior to buying from Raru, just confirm the warranty period displayed on their site for returns and RMA.
