Outlook 2003 0x800CCCF6 error 554

I have Outlook 2003 and get thefollowing "0x800CCCF6 error 554" when trying to send email. I can receive but not send. I have verified my settings with my ISP (TI) and they say the problem is on my side (no surprise there). I have re-installed outlook, recreated my porofile, created a new pst but still no joy. I just cannot get emails to send and they stay stuck in the outbox. I have Mcafee antivirus, disabled all scanning of outgoing mails' stopped firewall, junk mail filters, all to no avail. Any idea's?

Make sure that smtp setting are
smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net
Your Firewall is not blocking it

Then phone..

Ok I fixed it. I imported everything from Outlook 2003 to Outlook Express 6. I was then able to send and receive. I then deleted the old outlook profile and pst and then exported everything back and now it works again.

Ok so not fixed!! I have deleted everything, installed Outlook 2007 and still no success. Even removed all AV and firewalls and still cannot send. TI ISP still maintains its not them. Outlook Express works fine but not Outlook itself. BOFH's HELP!

Try running scanpst - for office 2007, you can find it in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12.

Telkom Internet Fskers!!

I decided to fiddle with the smtp settings and changed it from smtp.telkomsa.net to smtp.saix.net

now its working again
