p990 warranty

This is what I've got so far:
All handsets, in the 1st year after sale, that are sold by VSP and that are not damaged will be repaired under warranty irrelevant of what sim card was inserted into the handset.

Since the 2nd year warranty is an extension of the 1st year warranty but it is essentially (besides Nokia) a loyalty warranty there is additional criteria that needs to be met. The handset has to have been used on the Vodacom network for 30 of the last 90 days. Please note that no accessory is covered by the 2nd year warranty.

More to follow. I've asked about non-VSP handsets and why Nokia is different.

Am i misreading something? How do you repair something that's not damaged?

Sounds acceptable and at least more logical...this the shop can easily determine i guess. The "may not use any other sim" criteria sounds a bit much to me, how many times have people placed their wife/friend's sim in their phone to test settings etc etc ?

Assume physically broken, cracked screen, etc.

Agree, sounds like an overzealous sales person.
