Panorama ADSL infrastructure

The Panorama ISAM's won't cover Monte Vista. The one in Welgelegen is for the school and a very limited number of houses to the north - most of the Welgelegen houses' internet is stuffed.
 
Being in Rachel Bloch street, just of Sering, this is awesome news. Current max attainable is 3mb/s with a downstream SNR of 6db on a good day. Line is currently set for 2mb.

Does anyone know if we will be able to see just by looking at SNR if our line is upgraded?
 
Yes. The numbers will look significantly better (higher). There are some websites where you can plug in the SNR and attenuation and it will calc max speed for you.
 
Holy cwap!. I have been suffering with slow internet for the last day or two - including today/tonight. I rebooted (for the 3rd time) about 20 minutes ago due to incredibly slow load times - and everything is now lightening fast. As in I have never seen pages load as quickly before. Ever.

Although speedtest shows absolutely no change?

I took a video of the almost instantaneous page loading here - just in case I wake up later and things are back to normal and I think I am going insane.
 
Your line speed will not increase but the router stats will immensly.
what line speed do you have? can you possibly post routers stats pleaàaaasse.once line stats increase the line speed could be upped

Telkom coverage map updated - the news does not seem good.

FTTH only above Malmesbury Rd for now in Welgelegen 2 & 3. There is no increase in either VDSL/FTTH footprint on the coverage map for Panorama. So most of Panorama & Welgelegen without good internet still for the next couple of months.

Damn. Maybe it was just late night speed :(
 
Telkom is not finished in Panorama yet. For residents in panorama loop length will become anything between 50m and 1km which is better than 5.5km. This will allow us to attain speeds of up to 40mbps depending on the distance of the house from the "big white box". Telkom have restated the completion date multiple times. The last update i got from a representative was March 2016. Let's see if it materializes.
 
Guys I'm please to post that my line has been bumped over to the new infrastructure. The line stats are magnificent and I can achieve up to 40mbps vdsl with these stats. Thank you Telkom. This will be earmarked as the happiest week of my life. Until I move to a fibre capable area next month for a 100mbps link.

Stats from ASUS N55U Router:
Atten up: 4
Atten down: 3
SNR up: 24.6
SNR down: 36.5
Data rate up: 508
Data rate down: 2048

When I uped it to 4mbps these stats didn't change, I think my loop length is roughly 100m.

Ok, it is 2 months later now - any news? I am one street up from you Axen - in Alk van Zyl Avenue. Still no SMS from Telkom, coverage map still says max of 2mb/s for my address. What is happening? :(

The coverage map says 2meg for me as well, but the below is the reality for my neighbour,the attainable rate in paticular.
