Paradox IP150 configuration issue

I see I have to do a firmware update of the IP150 before next week if I want to keep using Insite Gold.

Does anyone know if Babyware can be run in Wine on Linux? I don't have a Windows laptop anymore, and my previous attempt was an utter failure.

I also haven't been able to connect over the network with the panel.

Havent' tried, but you could always run windows in a vm. I run mine that way.

just received that "must upgrade" message in the Insite Gold app. I asked the installer, and they said it can be done from within the Insite Gold app. Cant find that option in the app - does anyone have some guidance for how I can do that upgrade through Insite Gold?

Pretty sure you can't from the app, maybe able to do it on the website.

i.e. http://www.paradoxmyhome.com/Modules/Home.aspx

(Assuming you know the details / login for your site)

Usually its done via babyware though.

Whatdya know.

Note - I had to delete, and re-add my site for the update message to pop up (save your current settings first!!)

You also need to be logged in as the "master user" in Insight Gold.

Let me give that a whirl, see if it will play nicely.
Busy updating one of mine now.

Note the usual attention to detail you expect from Paradox (IP160...; or - seems that the IP150+ internal name is IP160..)

Not IP150 related but which passives are you using with Paradox. The security company installed NV5 indoor passives but 1 of them is going off randomly with nothing in the room. A few of them also burnt out shortly after installation, might have been lightning related. Is there a better indoor passive to use?

I use the DG65's mostly, but I also have some NV5's in use.

Cheap enough to replace a faulty NV5 if you need to.

Have you tried turning down the sensitivity? open up the NV5, and turn the sensitivity down on the potentiometer

Upgraded in the app - couldn't find it the first time when I was logged in with a secondary user instead of the master user. Very smooth process through Insite

Went ahead and did another panel update, that went fairly easily.
(I did have to delete and re-add my panels in Paradox Insight Gold though for what its worth).

I don't use Insight Gold much now though as I mostly use HomeAssistant. Actually had to disconnect HA so I could login with Gold to do the updates..

2nd panel update -

Will go and adjust that one to see if it helps thanks. Else I will replace them as they give issues. Although these are only 2 months old.

On the one the led just blinked when I move there instead of the solid on it normally does, not sure if this means something.

Is there any way to upgrade to 5.6.14 without the app? My IP150 module is on 5.2.58 ("v.05.02.58"). I tried with Insite Gold and Paradox BlueEye on iOS and Android. I completely remove the site from the app, uninstall the app, reinstall the app. Then I add the site and log in with system master code. It never pops up anything to upgrade firmware. Any suggestions?

Tried Babyware? or infield?

https://jasonchannel.com/paradox-alarm or on my site http://lekkerstuff.co.za/uploads/Paradox/

Instructions - http://lekkerstuff.co.za/uploads/Paradox/Firmware/IP150/IP150_v4.1_Upgrade_Procedure.pdf
(similar method for other updates).

Not sure why you feel the need to upgrade though, newer versions have less features, and make it more difficult for HA integration.

Is there a way to upgrade through the Olarm System ?

Olarm does not have that functionality as far as i am aware

As an aside is there anywhere i can get the Babyware software?

Yes, I tried Infield, but I don't have a firmware file newer than 5.2.28 I already have. I want to upgrade because my IP150 module keeps losing network connectivity (stops responding to pings) every now and again. It goes away and then comes back later on its own. I am hoping an upgrade will fix it.

I notice the latest firmware file you have on your upload site is below 5.2.28. It seems the only way to update to 5.6.14 is via the app (which doesn't work). I will try to decompile the app APK and see if there is a clue for fetching the latest FW.
